You lost me near the end, jayhawk. Regardless, you're not the only whiner, which is why the post is not directed at you as was my retort on miles.

You need to change your slogan under your name from lazy/stupid to omnipotent....nevermind I think lazy/stupid fits better. Good day and thanks for all of your mind blowing information you have added to this thread.

Omniscient makes more sense in this spot than omnipotent, but as a courtesy I switched to omnipotent:toast:

When the SEC was looking up at the big ten and big xii, I did not whine about an uneven playing field, or the possibilty that players were being bought or anything else.

I don't really recall the SEC looking up at anyone, ever. Maybe from a perception standpoint, but not competitively.

Call it what you will but the SEC is playing by a different set of rules (literally, with regards to over signing) than other conferences.

Further, there are teams in my "group one" that are outside of the SEC. USC, Ohio State, Florida State, Oklahoma and Oregon come to mind.

Pay for play and boosters/agents run wild are certainly not new issues to college football but IMO we're in an era where it's as bad as it's been in my lifetime. Hopefully the NCAA finds some way to level the playing field. After watching the Cam Newton and OSU cases unfold and be resolved I have little hope it will, but I guess you never know.

Sandusky, Ohio State's violations, USC's violations have all garnered far more attention than recent BCS championship games. It speaks volumes about where the game is at and how badly a new governing body and playoff are needed.

There are two classes of programs out there now:

1) those that blatantly over sign, pay for play and allow boosters to run wild.

2) those that don't

Group 1 (and Texas, who falls in group 2) play for BCS titles. Group 2 does not. Group 2's fans are starting to realize this and thus there is little interest in this game outside of SEC country. So it goes.

Envy Man...lol Pure Envy!! :142smilie
