Agreed. USC in a laugher. Are there any Big-10 teams that will cover/win this bowl season? Upon 1st glance, it doesn't appear to me that there is. Which means they all win and cover....;)

I'd like to check my records, my memory and my history books, but the Big 10 has a weird bowl history......in years, we they were touted as one of the best, if not the best, in the land, they struggled in bowl games.

In years where they were down, they did well, at least against the number.

Again, that is my memory....as big 10 follower yourself, do you not have the same recollection? Just curious......sometimes bowl season is not the best way to really assess how good or poor a conference is......and when you involved point spreads, the analysis we get from talking heads and such gets thrown out the window.

Wait, wait, wait... as long as he gives them one of his spirited pep talks they may be ok. As a player, how could you take your coach seriously if he looked like a Keebler elf with a lisp? Would that man yelling at you scare you?

As far as my faulty memory goes, what you are saying about the Big-10 is true, Toledo Prophet. There were many years where the Big-10 was considered the best league in the country and the teams struggled--both winning and ATS--in the bowls. And when the league was considered having a down year, they have been decent winning and ATS.
And seeing as I couldn't pick an ATS winner in college foots this season with tomorrow's paper, your thoughts are probably closer to what will take place than mine.

SC teams of the past would blow Out Illinois here, but this is a different SC team. They are unstable on offense but solid on the defensive side. I am not too familiar with Illinois but I would not think SC wins this one in a route unless Illinois is really shaky and slow after being off for so long.

I see SC winning this game by less than double digits.

I agree that USC's offense will limit how big of a win this is. That said, Illinois can be shut down. Illinois runs a spread offense, but they primarily run out of, they don't pass that often. A disciplined defense should be able to easily shut them down, and I anticipate USC will be just that.

Wisky will probably beat Tennessee the way they have preformed in bowl games the last few years....

Vols can run on Wisky. I like Tenn, as long as they aren't dwelling on the lost opportunity in the SECCG.

I think I read somewhere today that the Big Ten (11) was 0-8 against the SEC in bowl games. No word ATS.

SEC fan, but that is not true because Wisky and Penn St. won last year against SEC teams. My Vols lost to Penn St.

Vols usually play good every other bowl game, so I look for them to win this year after laying an egg against Penn St. ly

Is this all-time, can't be. I know that Iowa covered in the 2004 Outback against Florida and the 2005 Capital One against LSU.

Cie is right... that stat is for OSU, not the Big Ten. Badgers have won the past two Capital One bowls against Arkansas and Auburn, and as noted Penn State beat the Vols last year.
