Tourney record so far:
Not Inviteds: +$0.68
Rd 1: +$1.75
Rd 2: +$10.58

My goal during tourney time is to not get killed, not square out and play every game just to have crack rat action, and enjoy the games. There are certainly better places to improve your bankroll. Everyone gets so hyped up for this, they abandon their basic handicapping style and start relying on vague eye tests, gut feelings, and "analysis" of the teams playing. I guess that's one way to embrace variance and wild swings ultimately just paying juice to the man. My advice would be to take it easy, reserve your big plays for spots, and if you see a game that stacks up in your favor, then hit it. Don't think you can just slam every game because you have it all figured out.

Early:

Alabama -4 $4.35 to win $4.00
Michigan over 144.5 $4.20 to win $4.00

Also lean to Michigan in this matchup, but prefer the total. Wolverines played some lower scoring affairs in Big Ten play where their opponents were able to and knew they had to slow down the pace. VCU wants to push pace, and considering Michigan is at its best in the open floor, they should oblige. Would expect an up and down game. Who knows if enough shots will fall, but the pace and possessions should be there.

Looks like I should have stuck with Michigan. Was plenty of tempo to get over that number but VCU couldn't throw it in ocean.

Michigan St. -6 $4.12 to win $4.00

Good to see the level of intelligence remains low in the general population.

Who would follow someone without a record who posts things like bigggggggggggggg? Only someone who can't think on their own.

Syracuse -4.5 1h $3.15 to win $3.00

Look, I don't want anyone to lose. I think it's great Jord has the desire and time to share his picks. But there is personal responsibility in doing so. People are wagering real money on this stuff. A real record verifies results and some sort of unit system makes it calculable. It's even worse with the amount of self promotion and hype that goes on...I'm not saying that can't be done in fun, but when you say how great you are in march someone with no experience or in a desperate situation may follow. They could have been completely wiped out last week.

Top rated play so far in tournament. About as bold as I can be on a less than stellar day:

Illinois +7.5 $9.09 to win $9.00
