I also take apple cider viinegar everyday and haven't been sick in over 10 years. Don't know if it is because of that, but somethings workin. I think the "mother" refers to it being raw/unfiltered/unpasturized. The crap you get at a grocery store won't give you the same benefits unless it is in the health food section. I use a brand called "Braggs". Here is the smoothie I drink every morning that helps camoflague the taste of the ACV.
6 ozs. yogurt (1 container)
1 tspn flax seed oil (good source of Omegas)
1 tspn black strap molasses (guess cause it will never come off the spoon)
2 tblspn apple cider vinegar
6 frozen strawberries
6 chunks frozen pineapple (Dole)
1 banana
6 oz. pomegranite juice (lots of antioxidants)(yogurt cup)
Makes right at 20 oz.
I'm not lookin for an argument, but I don't think the ACV will nuetralzie your body as it is very acidic. Bacteria, viruses and many diseases thrive in an acidic environment, so getting your body in an alkaline state will more than likely improve your health.
