Is anyone going to play the over 60.5 total in this game. I remember last year kicking myself because I did'nt slam the over in this game.

No defense to speak of goes on much in this game. QB and WRs just put on a good show and everyone scores alot and goes home happy and not injured.

Yeah, generally an air show really...

I just remember one time playing the NHL All Star game over the total, after the past few years had gone way wayyyyyyyyy over, and getting completely burned. Too much nonsense IMO. Also last year the NBA A/S Game went over, I believe only due to 2OT. Please correct me if I'm wrong, and I do understand that these are completely different.

How about NFC +3?

GL Scott, also are you familiar w/a sports show in the ATL area w/a bunch of guys who I guess just bark for a good amount of the show. They're tearing them apart up here, just wondering your opinion...

I could ask IE if he has what the total and final score was from last years NFL NFC/AFC game.

I havn't seen the barking guys. Not sure what show that would be.

Sounds like right up a big dogs alley.

I was thinking over before I saw the line, but if you look at all the totals of past games only 3 out of the last 13 games have gone over 60 and 2 were the past 2 years. I don't know if maybe the over is going to be the trend now, but I may rethink my over wager.

Good points. But this is what we need to look at.

Who are the QB and receivers going to be ? They always like throwing long balls all day in this game. If we got good QBs on both sides it could be bombs away and the 60 would be easy reach. I bet this total don't drop at all though.

If I can decided on the total I may try to slam this.

I got in late last year when they played this game, and I wasn't able to get down a play. I remember watching and thinking damn they sure play loose defense in this game.

I have seen the total go up to 63 in some places.

Last years game was unusual because one side got way ahead(AFC) and then relaxed. The NFC then scored many points.

If the game is more even, I feel 63 may be pushing it. Nine Touchdowns with no field goals is 63. That is attainable, but closer to the limit.

One question, injuries -- there are 10 selectees out of the ProBowl for the AFC and 5 for the NFC.
That would seem to favor the NFC. Any thoughts?

Damn fine lot of QBs and receivers.

I think if we could figure out how many rushing touchdowns there will be, it would give us a clearer picture if 9 touchdowns can be scored.

They love to spotlight offense in this game. The more great plays made the better off everyone likes it.

Play back a little, don't stick your head in to tackle unless absolutely necessary. This is not the regular season, this is the Pro Bowl, lets lighten it up some.

Scott the only thing that concerns me is the QB's for the NFC, McNabb will probably only play 1 qtr or maybe most of the first half, then you have culpepper who will do ok, but then I think Vick might get most of the snaps near the end of the game and I am not sold on his throwing ability. The total maybe over by then and it won't matter but who knows. I maybe kicking myself when it's 28-21 at hafltime, but I think I maybe put a small wager on the under.

I am thinking that Vick playing will add maybe two TDs with his running. Thats what people want to see and I think they will let him make some runs to generate excitement and interest. But I don't give two chits about excitement, I want to slam the total.

I had a dream about this game. The only thing I remember was points, lots and lots of points.

Getting close now. Still looking into stats and that stuff. I may find that one gem that creates a slam it down hard.

Michael Vick Taking Pro Bowl Seriously
By GREG BEACHAM
AP Sports Writer

HONOLULU ?
Michael Vick and Donovan McNabb huddled in front of their lockers at Aloha Stadium on Thursday, goofing on any NFC teammate crossing their paths and making plans for a night out on Waikiki Beach. Sure, Pro Bowl week isn't exactly the toughest stretch of the NFL season, but Vick is taking it seriously enough that his fellow all-stars and the Atlanta coaching staff have teased him about it.

In between spending time with his family and his closest friends from around the league, Vick also is hoping to make an impression on anybody who still doesn't know what the Falcons star can do.

"Definitely, I'm focused on this game a whole lot," Vick said. "I've been thinking about it since our season ended in Atlanta. This is the first chance I'm going to have to line up against the best of the best, so if you can't end the season with a championship, this is one of the next-best ways."

Vick has become one of the NFL's most popular, versatile and electrifying players in his four seasons, but he hasn't made a Pro Bowl appearance yet.

He was selected for the NFC squad after his breakout season two years ago, joining Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Kurt Warner, Daunte Culpepper and Tom Brady as the only second-year quarterbacks to earn a spot in the game in their first full year as starters. But Vick skipped the Pro Bowl to get a bunion removed from his right foot.

He figured he would have plenty of chances to get to Hawaii if he kept playing well ? but then he broke his leg in the 2003 preseason, and the resulting disaster in Atlanta eventually led to coach Dan Reeves' firing.

"I wasn't thinking about the Pro Bowl at the end of last year," Vick said. "That was the last thing on my mind."

Everything changed this season when Vick got back on his precocious learning curve. With their quarterback's maturity and leadership skills growing with every passing week, coach Jim Mora and offensive coordinator Greg Knapp revitalized the Falcons, who won their division and reached the NFC championship game.

"This might be his first time in Hawaii, but he'll probably be setting up camp here every February for a long time," said Mora, who's coaching the NFC squad. "With his abilities, if we can put a team around him that's going to be successful every year, there's no reason he won't be one of the dominant quarterbacks in this league."

Though McNabb and Culpepper have seniority on Vick, they won't be surprised if Vick plays extensively Sunday in the second half of the Pro Bowl, where blitzing isn't allowed and no defenders try to deliver career-ending hits. Knapp has installed a variation of the Falcons' offense for the NFC squad, and Vick knows it as well as anyone.

"He's going to have all eyes on him when he goes in there," McNabb said. "Everybody knows what he can do in a real game. Now we'll get to see what he does when nobody can blitz you. It could be scary."

Vick passed for 2,323 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, and he rushed for 902 yards and three more scores. His passing numbers weren't spectacular in his first season in the West Coast offense, but his uncanny running abilities and his strong arm were more than enough to earn the respect of the players and fans who voted for him.

Vick counts McNabb and Culpepper among the players who extended advice to him early in his career, so he's particularly excited to be their teammates for the first time. McNabb and Vick also believe this Pro Bowl will be one more advancement for the acceptance of black quarterbacks.

"It says a lot about how far the game has come and how the position has evolved," Vick said. "We're getting an opportunity to show what we can do in this league. ... It shows that we're here to stay."

If they can't blitz then they will all be playing back.

And add Manning in there for his five touchdowns.

oh oh oh oh !!!!!!!

When asked how many touchdowns he
would score in the Pro Bowl, Vick responded
by holding up two fingers and stamping his foot
twice.

..................................................................

two if by land, and two if by air.

sounds simple enough.
