Minny -2 Already posted my thoughts in a separate thread. In a nutshell, and all recent comraderie aside in Lion's camp, these teams do match up (and Brad Johnson no savior) but Vikes playing solid ball while Lions just don't have the chemistry yet.
Cincy +3 It's finally time when the line looks to be off! Lot of people got burned backing them against the Steelers and Indy earlier this year. Now they go on the road against angry Pit off a loss and Pit only needs to win by a fg. Oldest vegas trick in the book IMO. A deeper look says Cincy is a little better than the team Pit played with a few more games under the belt, while Pit is a little worse with big Ben's thumb still sore.
Giants -3 Another good match up. How did Denver who had (10) less first downs, net yards, time of possesion beat Dallas last week? Drew Bledsoe.
Carolina -3 Take a look at recent play. Car has one loss (on the road) against the league's number one defense, but otherwise beat who they should. Atl meanwhile losing to lower ranked teams. They beat Det and they should have. If they do it against Carolina's 5th ranked defense (3rd in rushing d @ 82.2 ypg allowed), well then, hats off.
Wash -3 Basically a play against Ram's rookie qb who looked like Manning against the Texans. I'll take the much better defensive team in this match up.
Other thoughts...I would stay away from Tampa and NE. Saints are a dangerous team against the spread every week IMO. You can't bet on them or against them. They also have nothing to lose. And NE...when will they be the NE of last year? Call me insane but I actually think the Jets have a chance this week. Watching this Bollinger kid last week with only a few games under his belt, he showed some poise. He'll only get better and who knows what the Jets will have up their sleeves as they too have nothing to lose.
