It's an incredibly boring song, I was planning to use the opportunity for an even longer snack and bathroom break than I typically take for the other anthem.

I support any decision you make however and am happy to promote your band through my numerous social media connections.

I'm not sure where the band stands at moment, Josh may have tweaked his supraspinatus mussel in his shoulder on that last double windmill toss of corn at your head....I should have known adding extra butter and parmesan cheese was a bad idea, all that extra weight....If Josh is out for any period of time we are down one Air Drummer.....

I'm not at all surprised that our living arrangement is a bit choppy out of the gate, typical growing pains. Tell ya what, just leave me notes on the fridge regarding band health status and I'll stay flexible regarding promotion and venue. :0074

What have you watched for 5 months?

because another song is played before the national anthem? you do realize hundreds, maybe thousands of songs have been played before the national anthem. the only risk with this particular one is that it will put people to sleep.

boycott....never again......y'all wanna die on this hill? OK :mj07::0002

Anyone who kneels for black anthem will be labeled racist, but all should feel free to kneel for the actual anthem. Right?

Has nothing to do with a song being played and everything to do with horseshit double standards. My mom is an Cuban refugee, but I dont think twice about ppl idolizing che guevara on tshirts, posters, etc because I'm not a pussy. Slavery sucks. Jim crow era sucks. But Do not tell me no advancement has been made when a black president just held office for 8 years. Racism exists, and I'm all for further improvement, but The injustice in this country is more socioeconomic related than race related. Time to to quit bitching about past oppression and get busy living. 55 unarmed Americans died at the hands of police last year. By rate, that number is 6 if we had Canadas population. The overreaction to Floyd makes me want to vomit and my black friends are with me. Wanna know why? Because they arent at the bottom of the above referenced socioeconomic chain

Where it is real F ing COLD
If I leave this thread in General, I'll get bitched at. If I move this thread, I'll get bitched at.

Personally I am 100% neutral on this matter because I don't GAF either way. I do think it's silly that people say "that's it, I'm never watching the NFL ever again". BULLSHIT. :mj07:

It will get moved and it's nobody's fault it got moved when it does. :0008

This, who cares if they play it? It?s not hurting anyone.

This!

A liberal woman friend on Facebook wrote this on my page...."This is dividing our nation during a time we so need to be united!!.. honestly.. I find this disgusting and full of racism!.. The NFL should be ashamed of themselves!"

The NFL blew it!

Count me as one of the silly people who will no longer watch an NFL game!

I assume everyone is boycotting, NASCAR (just played it at Pocono), the NBA, college football (already been performed many times over the years so you should have already been boycotting it), and countless other events that have and will include this song.

Lift ev'ry voice and sing
'Til earth and heaven ring
Ring with the harmonies of Liberty
Let our rejoicing rise
High as the list'ning skies
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea
Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun
Let us march on 'til victory is won
Stony the road we trod
Bitter the chastening rod
Felt in the days when hope unborn had died
Yet with a steady beat
Have not our weary feet
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed?
We have come over a way that with tears has been watered
We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered
Out from the gloomy past
'Til now we stand at last
Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast
God of our weary years
God of our silent tears
Thou who has brought us thus far on the way
Thou who has by Thy might
Led us into the light
Keep us forever in the path, we pray
Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee
Lest, our hearts drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee
Shadowed beneath Thy hand
May we forever stand
True to our God
True to our native land
