Sure would like to get off to a better start than NCAA.
Without any doubt The Patriots are looking up at everyone in the AFC East. They have done some decent things in the off-season, but the undoing of this team will be the OL. People who know football no get not going very far without a decent OL. New England has never had a good OL, but with Brady they never needed one, as he got rid of the ball quicker than any QB in NFL history. For some reason BB hasn't accounted for that deficiency. I would argue anyone New England has the worst OL in the NFL, and what they have is decimated by injuries. The team has 2 respectable linemen, David Andrews is a captain, and rocksolid at C, the Georgia product has played above his potential every year. The rest of the line is a disaster, last year's 1st pick RG Strange has been out the entire preseason with knee surgery. Mike Onwenu RG has been out the entire preseason coming off ankle surgery. The team signed Riley Reiff a 11 year journeyman Pro most recently with the Bears to play RT, it was a good signing as he has over 150 NFL starts and only allowed 3 sacks last season, he is on the PUP list and has not played the entire preseason. Trent Brown is back at LT, he can be a serviceable Pro when motivated, but consistently has weight and motivation issues, which is why SF and LV have let him go seasons prior. He has been out virtually the entire preseason, and is currently inactive (illness). Patriots have 2 TEs Hunter Henry and Mike Geseki, neither 1 block at the college level.
New England has a solid defense, they are solid upfront, at LB, and in the secondary, far above average as you would expect with a BB team. Stephenson/Elliott are more than serviceable at RB, the WR room is among the league's worst with juju Smith Schuster, Parker, Borne, and 2 6 round rookies. With Bill O'Brien as coordinator, the offense will be better than last season with Matt Patricia, a career defensive coach running things, but Mac Jones will be blamed for the inevitable downfall, with no support from the OL in front of him.
Philadelphia had 70 sacks last season, they should have several Sunday… Philadelphia -4 is ridiculous.

Excellent write up, agree completely. Phil won't drop off much if any and I think Balt has a huge yr. Stayed away from the side but betting against
Mahomes and Reid is a positional angle and I don't see it here even without Kelce and Jones.

Good luck with your plays and on the yr.

Yo Rock!! Just found this little nugget looking at NFL futures for team wins.
"Seven of New England's eight wins last season came against a backup quarterback. The offense figures to improve with new coordinator Bill O'Brien, but this is still a limited roster and a schedule that might have the Patriots favored in only three games"

Nice hit with Philly...things got a little hairy in the 4Q.:smilies1
they sure did… Philly didn't play well, patriots played better than I thought, especially with 2 rookie guards and Calvin Anderson at RT… Anderson was signed as a undrafted free agent with New England in 2019, and then they cut him. Since then he played 3 seasons with Denver only started 10 games, and 7 of those were in 2021, so he barely played last season. This is the box I knew patriots would find themselves in,2 rookie guards they just drafted in the 4th round and a guy they cut, who really hasn't played. Again Andrews at C is a stud, and Trent Brown can play when he wants to, but SF and LV cut him for a reason he's never motivated. That crew going up against 70 sacks last season, plus Parker didn't play at WR, and Stevenson has been sick, I believe he only rushed for 20 yards today. All that said, you never know man… It's the NFL. If BB took the field goal at the 15, they could have won the game with a field-goal. Philly didn't punt on 4th and 2 and gave New England the ball SMH I don't get it. Believe me I had Philly and plenty more plays, could have been a disaster, I'm still pissed off that 3 team parlay blew with the Chiefs, because Philly and Baltimore both ended up winning. Anyway got a couple layups on tonight's game.

I couldn’t believe they went for it on 4th and 2 and yes fortunate they didn’t take that FG to get within a FG. Nice massaging the #s last night teasing down the total. I too seem to do better on Sunday vs. Saturday.

3-1 straight plays
2-0 2 team teaser
1-1 3 team teaser… Loser had 2 winners, and Cincinnati +10.5. My bad thinking I was smarter, Cleveland was the obvious play with line drop.
0-1 3 team parlay…2 winners and chiefs debacle Thursday night, they had every chance to win that game. On to week 2

Buffalo -128
Buffalo +7.5/over 34/Philly +3 (TNF)
not drinking the Jets Kool-Aid yet… Don't get me wrong NYJ already had a solid core (Ol/DL/LB & CB) skill position they are solid with Cook/Hall and Wilson/Lazard/Hardman and TE Conklin/Uzomah… Just think it will take a little time to gel. Buffalo is still a wagon and I think opening night will be a little more cohesive.
