I wonder if Tiger could be pre-occupied with "possible" wedding in May. Haven't heard anything but quite unusual for him to pull out of Deuche Bank in May for personal reasons with his close promtional ties there:confused:

--in accord with 3balls--- as mad as I was for Duffy's pullout was not near as pissed as I was as Clarke yesterday. A mere +2 out of him was all that was needed to cash this parlay.

Interested in views here from any locals on how bad this rain is looking for the weekend - this looks like a 54 hole tournament from where I sit

Any views?

Don't think they'll get in 72 especially with match play starting wednesday.
Just glad they got the 36 finished---not much interest here in rest of tourney as most were settled @ cut and have no interest in remaining down pours--with exception of a couple place wagers in striking distance.

Can anyone fill me in on what happened to Parnevik in the third round? I was quite shocked to see his score for the day - haven't been able to find any news.

Thanks

"Jesper Parnevik ran into more trouble than anyone else at the tricky sixth hole. He was in the rough, and tried a high flop shot over the bunker to a green that ran away from him. Parnevik swung hard to get under the ball, but caught too much of it. The ball went over the green, over the seventh tee box and 15 feet up the hill into the ivy. "Go find that one," he challenged the gallery. He took a penalty shot for a lost ball, tried the same swing and this time dumped it into the bunker. He walked off with a quadruple-bogey 7 and shot 83."

Thanks DTB - but that obviously blew his game completely as I now see that he went on to bogey 6 of the next 11 holes.

Outrights - Final update: 0-3; -4.50pts

Haas 39th
Cink 32nd

Cink jumped up to 5th after birdies in his first two holes on Sunday, but that was as good as it got. Little chance of a win otherwise.

Haas/Funk LOST by 1
Haas/Mediate WON by 8
Weir/Garcia WON by 10
Weir/Parnevik WON by 6

Three good wins, but a small loss overall.

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Nothing comes easy - I could feel that empty feeling coming on all day - but Marksaeng and Weir held on, and Nelson was on the cusp but solid all day - and I closed with a nice return for the week. Weir pulling through seemed particularly important, after I had Howell in this event in 2003. Now, I think I need to steal one or I'll be due for a bit of regression.

As for the discussion in the Malaysia thread on parlays of outrights, if I have the staying power after I finish my capping in the wee hours of Thursday morning, I'll make some "wouldn't it be nice" and "that will be the day" parlays, looking to get from $1500 to $200,000+ on $1 plays; almost always I stick with just my best or posted outright plays, and it's more about hunches, like, "if my thinking here is correct, then this one has a fair chance of being in line with that," or, "I really like these two plays this week," and that type of stuff. I've had more than a few that held my interest into the weekend before fading fast, and I greatly fancy my chances in this endeavor over winning any lottery. Bet365 Rocks!, IMO.

And now for something completely different, I came across this article on sponsor's exexptions that I thought was interesting:

TU asked me over on the Malaysian thread how I went about making my choices for outright doubles/parleys.

I think LIA sums up my own thinking rather well here. It's not highly scientific nor is it pure guess work, but it tends more towards the gut feeling than anything else. My selection this week of Jaidee & Weir owes more to my acknowledging that Stan remains in my mind the Master outright selector and LIA 's choices have not been too shabby either - I chose the top pick of each of those to make up that 168/1 winning double. I also had an unposted e.w. double on Weir & Plaphol which paid out at 600/1 and will keep my betting bank full for some time to come. It will probably be months before I have a another weekend like this one!

Wow Is that 2 you guys have hit now? Bet there were a few nerves on last hole.:D
Has certainly been interesting year so far. Has been 3 major plus's for me this year.
Stans new expanded stats
Getting to view Euros-Beards and soon to be Bush on golf channel
which has put me into Euro markets for 1st time.
Putting in wireless DSL line at office where I can catch early odds as they drop.

Had 1st ever 30+ match winners last week due to Stan's expanded stats and going into Euro markets.
---and parlays have been very lucky to date.
