Korn....

I posted a response to this question somewhere in this thread. I basically gave a description of all the charges that are associated with owning a pretty decent horse. Every horse is $15. Mix in some blinkers, vitamin supplements, gelding, etc..etc... and you're looking at less than $50 bucks. Keep in mind that there are some recurring monthly charges that cost less than $10 bucks. Also, each time you enter an OFFICIAL race, you pay a nomination fee.

I wouldn't consider it expensive at all and if ya do things right and get a little lucky, you have a chance at making some decent bucks....

IndyDriver,

Your stable seems to be doing well with the step up in class.

Question for you and Neemer?

Do you train your horses on race days? Is there anything on the site that says that this is not a good idea?

Still Trying to get my first win.

I personally do not, but that's just a preference of mine. I've seen no where on the site that advises against this. I'm sitting at 99%, and I'm trying to find out how I can avoid going over 100% and thus being thrown back to 50%. I'm running ZERO barriers at this moment b/c I'm scared of being booted back down to 50%...

Neemer your eventually gonna drop down to the 50% level.I've Hit that level with both runners, but I've seen both of my horses do well and get a pay cheque with figures of 59% and 61%.. Askthebookie ran at a 59% level on the Turf today and almost stole the race,he came third and still got some coin...

okysmokey will get 2 barrier races at the top of the hour GMT and then I'll enter her on the same day. This has worked so far so why not..If anyone is running Monday please list your runner and the race so we can keep our eyes open.

My Filly, Leslies Smile, is racing in a 2200M English Turf Race at 12:00 GMT (7:00 CST). She's as ready as she's ever gonna be (96%) but she lacks any ability to hold on in a race, no matter what distance.

The colt, Reckoning, is racing in a 2200M Canadian Dirt Race at 13:00 GMT (8:00 CST). Bought myself a closer, thank god, but this is probably too short of a track for him as he is too green. But I am going to the Bahamas for a week and won't be able to race him again for a week. This horse could be a good one.

I've got Pillpusher, Okysmokey, and Askthebookie on my watch list. Any others in your respective stables? Any other MadJackers with horses? Like to see people win who I know, even if it is online.

I upgraded my colt to the Nursery Plate Juvy, and came in THIRD place! Ran on some Canadian dirt with a distance of 3200 meters. I also added blinkers which seemed to help immensly. Only bad thing is that I got knocked down to 50%!!!

Neemer, IndyDriver,

Hey I have read this thread like 4 times every single post in it... It really has interested me do you think I should wait around first to make sure I know what the hell I am doing... Or is there anyway I can like few your guys horses and whatnot without having an account I have to wait another week or so cause of bills and debts before I can I sign up for one... How much do you think its gonna cost me for a whole year for just one horse, with the maximum entries a month, the food, and the one time gelding if need be. If either one of you can post here or email me that would be sweet thanks guys. And I'll see ya at the track
