"the bunker"
i`m embarrassed to say that as an american,i have only seen a little bit of cunningham on youtube.......i`ll be heading to youtube to rectify that and take a longer look between today and tomorrow...

i have been somewhat impressed by adamek.....i understand him losing to dawson.....dawson`s for real,imo....but he impressed me vs bell...the close decisions vs briggs, not so much....

and cunningham`s win over guillermo jones scares the hell out of me...i happen to think that jones is highly underrated....

is cunningham to much of an athlete?...

anybody have any opinions on what might be a fairly entertaining "bigger" man fight on versus thursday night?...

I've got the over in a parlay. Being a former Navy guy I've kept tabs on Cunningham for some years now. He started boxing late (early 20's?) but he's athletic and uses ring generalship. Quick for a big guy with a good chin.

He should win a decision- but the OVER is a lock

I like Mr C. He's come up the hard way and has gone overseas to beat some good fighters and according to most, he got hosed in his 1st title fight. He's not the most exciting fighter but he's very capable. He's got a good jab w/a freakish reach and good all around ability. Adamek is certainly live and genuine world class but Dawson was able to make him look like he was fighting in quick sand. Adamek did look very good against Bell. I liked Cunningham but was on the fence @-250. The odds came down to -230 and I read Don Kings comments...."Adameks chances are slim and none and slim left town". It's ALWAYS nice to have Don King on your side of a wager. I like Cunningham by ud. I'm also considering the over although I don't like 11 1/2 for an over. This one should go the dst but a lot can happen b4 mid way rd 12.

Lean towards over/Cunny. Adamek presents a viable challenge, but Cunningham has only 11 whacks so I see the hurricanes logic. I need to parlay Cunny SU with something. Waiting for a guy at the "other" site to post MMA stuff. Boy is good.

ML parlay; boxing/NFL

ML parlay; boxing/NFL

Cunningham-230/NY Jets-340. Pays like 5-6.

A lot of people are giving Adamek a good chance in this fight.

I don't see it. I see Cunningham on points. He is pretty quick for a big guy and has good stamina.

I'm on Adamek. He was depleted in making 175 and has had 4 fights at cruiser and looked very good. He holds the 200 very well. I'm only stating this as my opinion and not a fact but Adamek had a juiced look against Bell and he looked very strong. His bodyfat % seemed no different after putting on 25 pounds. :nono: :nono:

Cunningham really impressed me against Huck.

His win over Jones looks very good now...

Adamek carries the extra 25 lbs very well for sure...

I pick Cunningham by decision, but Cunningham straight doesnt pay much more than over 11.5...and I give Adamek a better chance to win by decision than Cunningham to win by ko...so I might take the over...but as Romi said I dont like to play over 11.5 and the odds arent too good either...I really got to make up my mind...

Cunningham will go Ruiz if he needs to.

Cunningham will go Ruiz if he needs to.

"On using the blue print Chad Dawson laid down to beat Adamek: ?We?re able to bang with him if that?s what it comes to. We?re able to do what Dawson did to a certain extent. Our thing about the USS Cunningham is that we?re able to do everything we need to do to win. The major key is winning. So winning is just that. If we?ve got to turn this into a John Ruiz to do it, we?ll do it. If we?ve got to make it sweet like Floyd Mayweather, we?re there. Our game plan is to win.?

As a fight fan that tactic stinks but as a gambler, jab and grab works just fine for me. When money is on the line, I don't care how they get it done.

Graham on Cunningham as well.

My take:

I have seen a lot of both guys.

Adamek is a tough tough cat. I don't doubt that he struggled to make light heavy. But, the two Briggs fights could have gone either way. and Chad made him look silly for 10 rounds before getting caught.
I don't hold much stock in the O'Neil Bell win. Bell was fat, out of shape, and basically quit out of frustration, more than punches.

Adamek, to me, is a little unproven at Cruiser.

Cunningham is an excellent boxer and seems to be improving. His Guillermo Jones win looks even better nowadays, and stopping Huck showed true grit and determination (he was up on 2 cards at the time of the stoppage).

I saw both of Cunningham's fights against the pole Wlodarczyk. They were close, but I thought Cunningham did enough to win both. Essentially, USS is an undefeated fighter.

Buddy McGirt has made me tone down my over-under bets.

Even so, I would be shocked if this thing doesn't go the 12 rnd distance. I agree with Eddie, looks to CLEARLY go the route.

I think Steve will be too slick and too fast for the game Adamek. I like the USS Cunningham to win a 12 round UD.

LARGE on Steve Cunningham

MEDIUM on Over 11.5 rounds

Good luck fellas

got a quiet Friday...but a HUGE Saturday ahead of us...UFC, HBO, Showtime, Vs.

Don King is involved; that's enough for me not to lay any serious wood here.

Remember Spinks - Phillips ?

Check Romi's post. DK is on our side tonight.

Adamek has some bad past history with Don...got out of his contract

He was pissed at King for keeping him on the shelf too long

Adamek is a solid fighter who can punch and fights the whole fight.

I feel alot better betting 100 on Adamek to win 200 than betting 400 on Cunningham to win 200. i have a little on Adamek inside at 550
I believe this will be a ery good and close fight. You will hear alot of polish fans giving Adamek alot of vocal support.

Even money i would take Cunnigham because of King even venue and judges its a real pick em.

Huck fought a stupid fight against Cunningham being totaly reckless, Adamek will not lose his temper like that.

Adamek will be in this fight and he has the power to turn a fight even if he is behind on the scorecards.
After de la hoya and Stieglitz i have enough of favorits.
