Ailing cage fighter Brock Lesnar has developed a serious intestinal disorder that requires surgery, Ultimate Fighting Championship boss Dana White told TMZ.com Monday.

Lesnar, a 265 lb. former wrestler and football player, collapsed and was reportedly hospitalized last week during a vacation in Canada. On Saturday, White told various sources that Lesnar was in dire condition.

"He's not well. He's not going to be getting well anytime soon," White told reporters after a UFC event in England. "He doesn't have cancer or AIDS or anything like this, (but) he's got some problems."

On Monday, White clarified his diagnosis somewhat. He also said that Lesnar is back in the U.S. and that he might be admitted to the Mayo Clinic for surgery. According to White, Lesnar, 32, might never fight again

Lesnar himself has not been heard from since cancelling a scheduled bout three weeks ago. Shortly thereafter, UFC announced that Lesnar had contracted mononucleosis. Rumours swirled that he had swine flu. Things appear to be going from bad to worse for the superstar mixed-martial artist.

In college, Lesnar was a dominating wrestler. After school, he used his impressive bulk and outsized personality to switch over to the theatrics of professional wrestling. He was a huge draw for World Wrestling Entertainment.

In 2004, he decided on a mid-career switch to professional football. Despite no high-level experience in the game, he was given a shot by the NFL's Minnesota Vikings. He only played pre-season before being cut.

At age 30, he decided to switch professions again. He soon signed on to fight for UFC. In July, he won a championship belt.

UFC has had no trouble drawing huge crowds and lots of pay-per-view customers. Credibility, though, continues to be harder to come by. News of Lesnar's mystery illness has been greeted by skepticism by some blogs outside the mixed-martial arts universe.

I am on the phone with Dana now........

Carwin versus Dos Santos will happen, we are just working out the details.

Of course I called Fedor, but he doesn't like fighting top guys, Werdum is as high as he goes:mj07:

Note: Dana wants kegray to figure out what to do with all the injuries. He says kegray has all the answers so he'll put on all the UFC cards for 2010. Joe Silva and kegray are now the official matchmakers for the UFC.

Sponge will fill in for kegray when Kimbo fights Fedor.

It is getting harder and harder for Dana to keep these guys unbeaten in the UFC as the bums are running out in the division.
I guess they will just have to sack up and fight each other.
What a concept.
The solution is simple. You have dos Santos,Carwin,Cain,Mir. The idea of those guys fighting each other seems to be unheard of.Someone might lose.

It would be nice to see Carwin fight somebody with a pulse for a change.
And don't say he was supposed to fight Brock because you don't give Fedor that credit with Barnett.

I'm not one to really get pissed about cards. I truly enjoy MMA for the sport and could watch any 2 quality fighters get into the cage/ring and go at it and just enjoy the art.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm excited about every card.

kegray......ummmmm ya do know Carwin is hurt right?

(you are the matchmaker now, you should know this)

Yeah I know he is hurt right now. I guess this is the perfect excuse to put him up against Boxcar Willy in his next fight to keep him unbeaten.

If the UFC is so deep then why is this coming Saturday the 3rd straight UFC card that is garbage from top to bottom.
It is sad when one of the fights I am looking most forward to watching invloves Phil Baroni. :(

Like Bucs said, I enjoy any MMA I can get but don't try to feed me a $50 dog turd and call it a steak.

UFC is putting on some 2nd rate shows right now.
I mean who is looking forward to seeing GSP fight Hardy.
Does anyone really think Vitor is gonna beat Silva?
The UFC needs the Silva vs GSP match now more than ever. Problem is that just is not happening anytime in the near future.

Anderson had surgery......I think if GSP and Anderson were both healthy (GSP also had surgery) the super-fight would have happened.

Everybody is hurt.....fucking nuts:scared

Everyone...errr...not everyone...but those of you who have complained...I ask...if you don't like who's fighting, then who?

One word:

FEDOR :142smilie

Sorry had to throw that out there knowing Kickserv might throw his computer out the window.

HAHA, true!

When you think about the cards being "weak" or you'd rather see fighter A fight fighter B, you have to take into account who actually is deserving, then ask who is available. It's not as easy as ABC, 123...

Honestly Dana could throw you vs Kickserv out there and as long as a cage and violence was involved then he would get my $50.

Like I said I enjoy it all, I am just tired of the bashing of other organizations when UFC is not exactly a clear cut best with all the injuries.

Hell top to bottom the WEC may be the most well rounded organization right now.

How is Fedor vs Werdum any different than dos Santos vs Cro Cop.
Now dos Santos is fighting Gonzaga.
