There has to be more to the Harris cut. Has to be. He has 3 finishes in 3 wins. Dana loves finishers and so does everyone else.

i think he is sending a message here. He wants these guys to fight to the death. He could have found a better place for this message then this fighter i believe. You have to believe the fighters are all thinking about this move and what the fuk. Might as well throw out gameplans now and just go balls to the wall in every fight. It is tough to fight a guy when he won't engage. That is basically what he had to deal with in round three.
At least Baroni still has a job.

Kind of why we need a good solid number 2 promotion. Strikeforce are not it. Neither are Dream and Sengoku. Bellator have a long way to go.

rumor out there that Winslow will be doing all fights from now on. Dana says he likes it this way. Keeps it more competitive. Guys just beating each others brains out.

Badr Hari is a free man, at least for now PDF Print E-mail

How many of you guys actually think Badr Hari drives a KIA? Tiger Woods lost his Accenture sponsorship after the world found out he was aspiring to be a young Dolemite. Badr Hari flips out on a downed Remy Bojansky and still gets to keep his KIA endorsement. Just proves that Korean car companies are like the Junie Brownings of the automotive industry. Even though Badr Hari is a K-1 fighter, he does have an MMA record of 0-1 so technically this is MMA news.

Back in March, Badr Hari attempted to get into a Dutch nightclub but all efforts were thwarted by a bouncer who apparently didn't receive the memo that you should never prevent access to an establishment if that person has competed in K-1 and MMA. An altercation broke out near the front door which left the doorman with a fractured eye socket and a broken nose. Badr Hari allegedly fled the scene and became a fugitive wanted by the police. Reports also came through that Badr Hari allegedly 'went into hiding' because he had an affair with the wife of a prominent Dutch mob boss. While in hiding, Badr Hari was unable to participate in the K-1 Grand Prix which forced FEG to find a late replacement in Ben Edwards, a guy that was already KOd by Alistair Overeem in spectacular fashion in October. Rumors even circulated that Badr Hari was murdered and (or) faked his own death, all of which were untrue.

Badr Hari eventually turned himself into the Dutch authorities earlier this month and as of yesterday morning, Badr Hari is a free man. Well free in the sense that he was provisionally released from prison, but he's still a suspect in the case and if convicted, will face more jail time. Damn. Well, at least Badr Hari still has the greatest walk-out music in combat sports. [Source]

personally,i`m not interested in seeibng either guy.....certainly not against one another...

the ufc heavyweight roster is shabby(and i`m being kind).......

light heavy is loaded....put light heavies on....

i think mir/lesnar 3 is a tough sell without a really excellent undercard...

Couldnt agree more. As I stated earlier, just not sure what they can do with Lesnar now, and he needs to keep fighting I would think to hone skills and get the bad taste of out his mouth from the beatdown he took from Cain. Given he has limited number of fights thus far, put him back in with Mir does nothing to help him from a stylistic perspective given he would have 3 fights with him in what 8 bouts. Kind of sucks to do right now, but who else is there at the moment and Im sure Dana thinks this would bring the most $. Don't care to see it myself, win for Lesnar and who cares he basically has already physically dominated Mir, a loss and he just may be finished, nothing really to gain IMO other than building his confidence.

California Amateur MMA Org. will implement MMA half point scoring system in 2011

http://www.ultmma.com/news/index.php?itemid=1345

Surprised this has not got more press. From Dave Meltzer's newsletter

"This system will be tried out on amateur shows in the state, going into effect in 2011. The scoring also gives the most weight to damage inflicted as the top priority in judging who won the round, followed by effective striking and grappling and the lowest of the four priorities is aggression and cage control. George Dodd, who heads the California State Athletic Commission, is a proponent of this system. Dodd said amateur events would be the perfect place to put and test out the new system, because states will be reluctant to make changes on the professional level to something new unless they can show an effective track record of something different. Hamilton, John McCarthy and Herb Dean will be working on training judges to understand the system."

If these guys can fuck up a 3 point system, how is a 6 point system going to work? Train the judges how to judge MMA....that would be a great start.

The only way Nick Diaz ever beats anybody in top 5 would be if he brought those Nunchucks into the cage.
