LV liquor store info overload:
South Point Casino has a liquor store, about as cheap as the one at the Gold Coast Casino (guy who owns SPC built the GCC)
If driving down the strip to SPC, you can stop at Super Liquor. It's bit south of Mandalay Bay and across LV Blvd. (east side, in a strip mall with Panda Express, Subway and a McDonald's) . Bigger selection than SP, but not as cheap.
If strolling the strip, the ABC Store in the mall at Planet Hollywood sells liquor, and one in mall at Caesars too. There is also liquor store just south of Harrah's in that curving walk you gotta take in the Carnival Courtyard area. Also liquor store by Wynn near the Peppermill restaurant. And up at Sahara Blvd is the Bonanza Gift Store with it's liquor store side...none of these as cheap as South Point or Gold Coast, but cheaper than most any casino gift shop, and more selection.
The strip liquor store I used to visit is half block east on Flamingo, attached to the little Stage Door casino (across street from Bally's sportsbook Flamingo street entrance).
Strangely, the CVS and Walgreens on the strip don't sell beer, wine or booze.
Driving from Strip to SP you pass a Whole Food's with their selection of fancy wine and fru-fru beer. It's in the "Town Square" shopping complex (west side)
Discount warehouse-style grocery story, Food4less, sells liquor. This place is cheap all around! There is one on LV Blvd just south of Blue Diamond Road, on east side of LV Blvd in mall area. It's at 8180 S.Las Vegas Blvd, SPC is bit more south down road at 9777 Las Vegas Blvd South.
There also an Albertsons Supermarket at 4800 Blue Diamond Road (right at I-15)
The Von's grocery store at Tropicana and Eastern is a very convenient and fast cab stop from airport to strip. It has good prices on booze, and sales.
Lee's Discount Liquors on Flamingo Road just east of Eastern has the largest selection in Las Vegas, I believe, and good prices and sales. Not in the best neighborhood tho.
I got some Crown Royal to bring!
