nothing changed here. The same gullible guys from 07 haven't learned a thing and its 2010. The only thing theyhave learned is they are still funneling thousands of dollars to the books. Ref gets pinched andthen gives picks thru the playoffs and goes 17-2. Stern tries to shut him down telling the FBI that it is a violation of Donaghy's parole. Donaghy says the finals will go 7 and the Lakers will win. Lakers are getting beat all game and then the fouls start. Over 20 foul shots in the 4th quarter alone :0002 How much more evidence can a clown need? It isn't me that is losing thousands and thousands of my families money. You have to be a complete imbecile to not realize this is happening. You would think a ref getting pinched would help guys along but no they listen to the ultimate thief Stern tell them it was only one ref. :142smilie

huh, I must be crazy as when I was watching the game I simply thought the Celtics were actually fouling. Good to know that wasn't Sheed Wallace hammering Kobe and other Lakers, it was just the refs going along with the plan.
Exactly. I actually went back and watched the fourth quarter a SECOND time, and guess what, those were still fouls. If a guy is shooting, and the defender jumps in the air and makes contact with him on his way down, pretty sure that's a foul. :mj07:
And FWIW, I actually wanted Boston to win that game. I just knew as I was watching the fourth quarter that people on here would piss and moan about all the fouls, even though they were legit. There was going to be a conspiracy theory about that game, no matter what. If it wasn't all the fouls, it would have been something else. God forbid a game should be decided by talent, because that would mean people would actually have to cap games! :scared

strangely enough,i agree a bit with spongy(and i`m not big on conspiracies)......the nba is corrupt.....period...doesn`t have to be proven...theres already proof...
theres just too much money involved...and that usually tips some over the edge..anybody really think donaghy was a lone wolf?..you need to take a pill(and i say this despite knowing that the nba is populated by such lovely people)...:mj07:

Sure its crooked! But these guys do too many things in here:
A)
They give you 20 samples of what might happen in tonight's game, and when one of those scenarios hits, they shout, "SEE!!!!!"

He was a ref for how friggin' long? He SHOULD be able to "predict" this and that. You are getting no more than what boils down to expert analysis.
The fact remains, when the game falls how these guys "want" it to.....the fix is in. If not......"they" didn't need that game tonight. :shrug:
You can look at a passing cloud and your mind can make it into whatever shape you want........that doesn't make it so.
I don't think anyone is saying there isn't some corruption in the NBA, Wease. As you said, it's already been proven that there Donaghy was on the take. Could there be others? Of course. Do I believe that every ref is on the take? No. Do I believe that every game is rigged? No. Do I believe that refs somehow get the 2h lines on games and adjust their reffing in the 2h so that one side can "cover?" No. But that's what the conspiracy theorists want you to believe. To them, every game has to be fixed in one way or another. The Donaghy fiasco has been an absolute mindfuck for these guys. They've always assumed that the NBA wasn't on the up and up, and now because that one guy got busted they are the smart ones who knew it was shady all along. They will now always assume that anything and everything to do with the NBA is a scam.
But as has been mentioned, they won't tell you BEFORE the game what's going to happen. They will wait until after it's over, then they will try to put some kind of conspiracy spin on it. And for the most part, most of the time their assertions just come off looking ridiculous.

you can go to any playground and basically see the same thing....

it`s hard for me to be objective discussing the nba...i watch 10 minutes and automatically my brain turns into pancake batter...:shrug:
