Same deal my wife has at Children's Hospital.

That's awesome man. Being able to relate, I'm sure she loves it!

I'm on salary. When the company made their offer to me, I legitimately thought it was a hoax lol I went back and forth with the VP and head finance guy for about 2 weeks after the job was offered before signing the contract. The entire process from start to finish took about 6 weeks.

On the course!
sounds great are you looking fwd to retirement or are you going to have too much time on your hands... and go find a PT job to keep you busy.?

I'm getting out 9 months early, so I can enjoy the Summer. I'm taking a hit on my final numbers, but I don't care. I want out now. I'm going to golf all Summer, and worry about doing something to keep busy later.

Good for you man! I went early too and don't regret it. I did start to go crazy after a while and found something part time hence the 6 months on and 6 months off. Nothing like being retired though!!

I currently have 5 weeks vacation that is paid to me annually regardless if I take them or not. I have over 22 years so it took time to get there. My 5th week came the 20th year. One week sick pay.

The last company I worked for you got 2 weeks after your first year, then you didn't get your 3rd week until 7th year, 4th week after 15 years...then you didn't get a 5th week until after 35 years.

Sure glad I don't work there anymore.
