We have a sales position open here in Atlanta. Don't know if that is something you want to try. It's outside sales, light travel. Good base plus commission. IT sales, so some tech knowledge is a plus.

Bart,
I would certainly consider Fort Worth or Austin. Good job market no state tax and low housing prices

I noticed when I was there. I always check job market and housing everywhere I visit.

And bass fishing year round! So what's keeping you?

damn good question..

best I can figure he loves 2 good months of warm weather and softball more than fishing year round and a deep dark tan in April that last thru Nov.

snow blind...just plain old snow blind

ya still my horse BP don't care if ya ever win a race.

So, Bart, do you live in the ATL or did you go on somewhere else? What kind of work are you in now?

Hey Bart, you are obviously checking threads and posting on Jacks.......just seeing if interested.....

a. are you still in Atlanta?

b. Are you wanting to stay in a Law firm????????????

My last try.....maybe its me you don't want to answer but others have asked you as well. I asked in your birthday thread too. If he doesn't answer, does anyone else know?

Damn guys. Sorry. I didn't see this thread get bumped.

Still living in Decatur. Still hunting for the next great job. Law firm is fine but doesn't have to be a law firm. I'm applying in many places. Had a few interviews and I seem to fall into one of two categories. Over qualified for positions and they don't want to hire me for fear of me leaving too quickly.....or slightly under qualified so they want someone else with more "seasoning."

The truth is I'd love to find something pretty soon. It appears that there may be a little Bart heading into this world soon. Ultrasound scheduled for Thursday.

So yes. Very nervous. I appreciate all of you caring enough to inquire, especially you Wineguy. Thanks for looking out

Reason I was hunting you down was to see if interested in a place looking. I have 2 good friends I golf with and recently went to Whistling Straits golfing with. They are Partners at a Top 10 Firm (Trout--- Sand---) in Atlanta and looking for a Director of HR in ATL. Won't spell out name so it doesn't pop up on this site, but you can figure it out Bart. I know Woody offered help as did Marine, but it seems you didn't reach out to them, so don't want to get in your business either if you want to go it alone. They told me it was available in late December and would be posted. Just FYI

Thanks chuck. Director of HR is out of my range as I don't have the experience for that position yet. I've been an office services coordinator, office manager, and office administrator in my career. I do recognize the law firm you mentioned.

Like I said, I appreciate the help and you thinking of me when you spoke with your buddies. I think when I first lost my job I took it a bit too easy, thinking it wouldn't be THAT hard to land back on my feet. I'm certainly finding it to be a bit more challenging than anticipated.
