I honestly don't care who plays in the NC game....but that is NOT all. Okie St beat way more "ranked" teams throughout the year. Yes they lost to Iowa St on the road, but there was a tragedy that happened right before that which probably affected the team some. Not making excuses for the Pokes because yes, they should have won the game. But Bama should have won all their home games....they didn't.
Here is my problem with with Bama playing for the NC......if Bama wins, what has been solved? You have a team that didn't win their conference, nor their division within the conference.....plus if Bama wins, LSU and Bama are now 1-1 against each other for the year. So who's the better team? having said all that, don't get me wrong........I think that bama is the 2nd best team in the nation.
If Okie St plays for the NC, the 2nd best team isn't playing in the title game. Yes the Pokes loss was a bad loss on paper.....but you can't discount their schedule and who they beat all year. That has to be worth something.
Bottom line, there is no right or wrong decision here. However, if there was ever a time for a playoff...........this is the year that needs to be looked at and said....this BCS nonsense is just that.......NONSENSE
