Coaches poll and computers of which we know the results favor bama. The rematch is a lock.

Weren't they 45, 49 and 50 and 51? These aren't gimme fgs.

wow, ive posted htis in several places but thought they were closer...

he should have punted,,,

Here's what I don't understand, for all of Saban's recruiting prowess, how does he not have a kicker capable of this? Nebraska this year fielded an all-conference kicker (who also go the punter award) who had this range and is a walk-on.

Read this elsewhere this morning. How do some of these coaches sleep at night?? Seriously, how does Saban vote Stanford, who was the 3rd best team, or 2nd at best, in the PAC10 ahead of Okie St?? How does Air Force vote Arky and Stan ahead of Ok St??

Okie State #5 = Air Force coach (voted LSU, Bama, Stanford, Arkansas, then Okie State)
Okie State #4 = coaches from Missouri (how's that for supporting your conference?), Syracuse, Duke

But most interesting, Saban voted Okie State #4 (he voted Stanford #3)

He's had Stanford ahead of Okie the entire season I believe...correct me if I'm wrong.

Pinkel wants to fit in w/ the new conference. Doesn't want the Tigers to be the new whipping boy, so he wanted to help his new conference buddy.

I would have to go look up the details, but back in '91 when Miami and Washington split for the title, there was some coach that voted an undefeated Hurricanes team #3 to help out Washington.

also in the '96/'97 season, Florida had a rematch w/ FSU, killed them in the Suga Bowl and was the clear national champion (albeit a previously unbeaten ASU's loss in the Rose Bowl helped). This is a very similar situation to that, and I don't remember as much discussion than about how it was so unfair for a rematch to decide the national title.

in 2004 Mike stoops voted 13-0 Auburn 18th to help get Bobs sooners in. Okla vs Usc played in that lopsided championship game
