Marshall's whole football team basically in the portal. I wrote a piece on opt outs and portal transfers and it's out of control when it first came out, the transfer portal for me old school, you get one transfer to play right away at another school however, you can not transfer until the spring semester is over with and if you enter the portal more than once no matter the reason, the second time you must sit out at least 1/2 the season or the entire season even if you've exhausted your redshirt status. This will keep players from hopping around like bunny rabbits and the NIL you can only access at the beginning of your school year August/September. Coaches which leave the program and take another job at another school will not be allowed to bring any players with them to the new program until after 1 full year at the new school. Opt outs stating you will not play in a bowl game because you entered the NFL Draft, should be held over your head as not being a "team player" and the player must donate at least a % of their NFL earnings back to their school to replenish the NIL $ they used and/or the cost of the year under scholarship at the school that they left.
That will bring more parity to the sport and this could be applied to all collegiate sports men/women together. We need some sanility back in amateur sports. To much entitlement and abuse of the powers that are to keep sports in alignment and fair for everyone.
