on the viet nam analogy,i have to agree....although with a different slant on the comparison....
i`ll,as i always do,cite the media`s role in this war.....
it`s absolutely a fair debate on whether the iraq invasion was a smart idea...
but,the media`s harping on abu gharaib,gitmo......everything negative regarding the war...is discouraging...and is undermining any effort at winning this thing....
much like the liberal media covered viet nam...
try and find a positive story on the war...in say the ny times..on the efforts at rebuilding the country...while the monsters tear it down..it`s tough to find...
....maybe on page 23...like the story on the congressmen`s visit to gitmo....
and the aclu fights to have more abu gharaib photos released....to what end,i have no idea...other than to harm the country.....and endanger the troops......lol.....
and fights to stop random baggae checks...
the aclu would render us as easy a target as they possibly can....perverting our own constitution.....using our own constitution against us.... as a suicide pact rather than sensible, rational law...
freedom of the press shouldn`t extend to the military in times of war,imo....that is, if we ever plan on achieving military success again...
i could care less if we commit an atrocity or two.....worrying about representation of these monsters, whether their quarters are to cold or to hot....geneva convention rules... when these animals could care less about any rules whatsoever....providing korans...handling them with gloves....while they bomb children...innocents....
and ironically, lop the heads off of journalists like nick berg...
we`ll probably fail..........like we did in viet nam...we have little resolve..
.fighting the media....fighting a politically correct war...
i get in a street fight with a guy and he picks up a stick,i`m grabbing one myself...
**** the media ....they`re political ...they care more about political correctness and their own ideological concept of globalism than the well being of their own country....
