are you asking me can he pick a shia out of a line-up ?...probably not....:142smilie

lol- I know you're playing along or whatever, but his supposed stength is foreign policy and he has shown that he doesn't even have a basic grasp of what's going on. No grasp!

It might be his age, it might just be ignorance, but when you continually mix up the tribes...well. Not once, not even a few times. And that's his strength!

He makes jokes about bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb bomb Iran! Hilarious. If that happens, the consequences will be ridiculously disastrous for us in every way. Won't/wouldn't be any different if that great Israeli military that couldn't defeat a 'faction', Hezzbollah in Lebanon, a couple years ago starts it.

We will obviously be drawn in and that's exactly what Israel AND Iran want.

He's already admitted that he knows nothing about economics.

What's not to love? :scared

do you really think he knows less about foreign affairs than obama ?

other than his age....mccain is much more qualified than obama..it's funny obama runs a tv ad highlighting his accomplishments....& his biggest asset he lists was as some kind of ward supervisor for a few years....that's funny...i got news for you i am more qualified to run this country than obama.

i never heard anything about his bomb, bomb, bomb iran comment by mccain....

and i would be very surprised if there is a war with iran....

Unplugged McCain sings 'bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran' David Edwards and Ron Brynaert
Published: Thursday April 19, 2007

At a stop on Senator John McCain's "Straight Talk" tour, the 2008 presidential candidate decided to respond to a question with some bars of a song, but it is unlikely that Arizona's Republican senator will be reaching the final rounds of Fox's "American Idol."

Speaking at Murrells Inlet VFW Hall in South Carolina, McCain was asked when he thought the US Military might "send an air mail message to Tehran."

"McCain began his answer by changing the words to a popular Beach Boys song," the Georgetown Times reports.

"'Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran,' he sang to the tune of Barbara Ann," the paper notes.

McCain then added, "Iran is dedicated to the destruction of Israel. That alone should concern us but now they are trying for nuclear capabilities. I totally support the President when he says we will not allow Iran to destroy Israel."

The paper notes that McCain stopped short of answering the actual question and did not say if he supports an invasion of Iran."

Later, McCain campaign spokesman Kevin McLaughlin told ABC News that the senator "was just trying to add a little humor to the event."

ABC's report adds, "On a more serious note, however, McCain has long been an advocate of dealing with rogue states aggressively. Back in 2000 when then-Gov. George W. Bush was wary of nation building and talking about a foreign policy based on humility and restraint, McCain was advocating a policy of 'rogue-state rollback,' which he described in a 1999 speech to the Center for Strategic and International Studies as a '21st century interpretation of the Reagan doctrine.'"

Video clip of McCain singing:
..........................................................

The focktard McCain sang with all his heart.

What a dumb ass.

Economics? Who knows. Neither of those clowns probably know anything about macro economics. I guess at least McCain admits it.

Foreign affairs? Well, McCain has shown, over and over and over that he can't distinguish between shias and sunnis. In itself, that's not a huge deal, I guess, except it's this total ignorance that got us into Iraq in the first place.

This admin chose not to try to learn anything about the religion implications, culture, history and mores of Iraq. And here we go again with this guy.

We can talk about the 'success'-lol- of the surge (whatever happened to that drawdown, anyways?), but when we leave, the result will be what it will be and it won't be pretty.

It's not the point whether McCain 'knows more' about foreign affairs. It's about how wise he will act on all this 'knowledge.' It's his stated potential actions.

If Israel(and by proxy, America) or us(unlikely) attacks Iran, once again, we won't be defeated militarily, but the results for AMERICA will be disastrous.

Look at the USSR with all their tanks and planes trying to control little bitty Afghanistan for 8 f*cking years and they left with their tails between their legs.

Look at how we can't control Iraq.

Look at how we can't even control Afghanistan.

These aren't our fathers wars.

And now this asshole wants to make jokes about bombing Iran?

No thanks.

i actually voted for gore in 2000...& before that i voted for clinton twice, voted for carter before that, & mcgovern before that (campaigned for mccarthy in the primaries), & voted for humphrey before that...& i'm sure that i have voted democratically more times than you have....but i don't think you vote...it's not your style.....

on the republican side i voted for reagan in 1980....in 84 & 88 i was too busy making money to be bothered..so i didn't vote...& i voted for bush in 04 because i gave him the benefit of the doubt because of 9/11...i probably would have voted for any sitting president in 04...

now what is your point to this particular discussion ?

like usual....you have no point..

Anyone with even an eighth of a brain can see banks imploding right in front of them. Unemployment rising, the debt out of control, a housing crisis, gas prices at an all time high as well as food and health insurance, and is to ignorant to acknowledge it, then i guess you are right. There is no point.

you know in the 8 years that i have been here i have never tried to correct a poster's spelling or gramatical errors. but since you have a habit of referring to people that you don't agree with as ignorant......i think i should point out to you that it's too ignorant in the above quote.

I'm voting for the person that will, at least somewhat eventually, but sooner than the other guy, get us out of this nonsense in the Middle East.

Perhaps more importantly to me, the person that doesn't have designs on getting involved in a third 'war' over there.

I mean, wtf?

That's all I care about, for the most part.

your dreaming if you think obama is going to get us out of the middle east....his position on iraq is changing everyday towards the right..but it's irrelevant because i am more convinced now that obama will need a guest pass to get into the white house after the elections....
