That was the stipulation when they signed the first fight. Don't have clue 0ne what the heck it means. But it's 166 for sure.:shrug:
Maybe this is why he got rid of Stewart. How are you the champion, and you put something like this in the contract is stunning to me. Unless he was just way to over confident but still it was a silly thing to do. Just my opinion.
I would like to hear some opinions also as to the train of thought here. Lets face it, it involves money, at least we can be sure of that. Maybe Taylor, thinking he may lose, wanted to recapture his credibility at 166 to give him more juice at 175 where he is headed. It's an interim sort of transitional thing. Hopefully, Kelly takes this one also.
I think Taylor shouldn't even think of 175. Hell in my opinion he lost about three or four of his last fights. Fight one with Hopkins was a robbery in my opinion. Taking all those belts off a guy and giving it to someone else with that performance was a joke. I thought he lost to Winky and you could probably build a case for Spinks. Hell i even bet Taylor over Spinks and that was to close for comfort.
