I am hoping they actually win as they then travel to Iowa next-mayibe a let down--Go Hawks!

Penn State better not have any kind of let-down when they come to Iowa City, or they will get their asses handed to them by the Hawkeyes. Especially after Iowa goes to Champaign next week and loses to the Illini...:mj07:

All kidding aside, I think Penn State is too good to lose to a mediocre Ohio State squad on Saturday...

so load up on the Buckeyes and cash a winning ticket...

Taking the Nittany Lions. I thought OSU might be favored based on last weeks numbers and the home field. Agree with Thunder that the line is begging for Osu money. Good luck to all.

Thunder....respect your opinion and all, but you guys are out of your mind if you think this line is begging for ohio st. money. maybe penn st. buries them and doesn't look back,
but you guys can't be serious when you think that the line is begging for ohio st. money. your average joe knows that penn st. has beat the chit out of everyone they've played, looked unbeatable in their two primetime games including the asswhopping of wisconsin on saturday night abc two weeks ago, and in all reality with a win get to play in the national title game.....and they are laying less than a field goal against a ohio st. team that is perceived as average with their primetime game being an asswhipping by usc.

again, this game probably doesn't even warrant wagering, and maybe penn st. blows them out, but there is no way this line is begging for penn st. money at under a field goal.

I think they are looking for that OSU money too. There is always two diiferent ways to look at it. I think the public is falling in love with Pryor and they know that Penn State has never won at the Horseshoe. Penn State does not travel well when the game is an early start, like beating Purdue 20 to 7. If you look at the late start away game, it looks like 48 to 7 over Wisky. I think the late start really favors the Lions. I think that Pryor will have a great 4 years at Ohio State but this year belongs to PSU!

So Cal
I have to agree with BLD
Pubic perception is Penn St rocks....OSU has lost it's luster a bit.

I still thinks OSU wins.

I think you're right on that one shark. That works out for me though, being a huge Penn State fan. I also agree that the defense will stuff the run and force the kid into some bad throws. They have the d-line to force Ohio St to the air. I think the kid is only attempting like 15 passes a game. PSU just seems to be clicking on all cylinders right now and it's hard to find a kink in their armor. I think that Texas/PSU would make for a really good title game. They can both score around 50 a game, but I think the Lions have an edge on D. They also seem to plan really well when it comes to bowl games, I think they win at around a 75% clip.

you're nuts if you think the majority of bettors in this game outside of the state of pennsylvania have any idea who pryor is, much less fall in love with him. i get it you like your team, and since I'm positive i'm not betting on it i hope for you they win. again the vast majority of the betting public has zero idea that penn st. has never won at the horseshoe or what starting times have any effect on if penn st wins or loses.

i get it your a fan, but your arguments hold no credibility to what the majority of wagerers see in this matchup. like i said i hope they win for you, but in the simplest terms like tulah says it best, you guys are crazy if you think this line is begging for ohio st. money.....penn st. rocks and ohio st. never wins a big game and are pedestrian and boring. that is what most people think.

I have to disagree with you on that. If the betting public doesn't know who Pryor is then they don't own a television, or they've been living under a rock. I'll agree with you that OSU was boring to watch the first 5 weeks of the season, but take a look at the offense the last three games. Not so bland anymore. Kirk said on ESPN that the kid looks like a young Vince Young right now, only a'lot further along at this point in their college careers. I also believe that anyone who cares enough to wager on college football probably knows that he was the most sought after recruit in the country last year. Still going to side with Thunder on this one.

Good point Vinnie. It's going to be on ESPN all week, the USA Today, Mike and Mike, Colin, and the list goes on and on.

you guys are all right and all sharp. who gives a chit what espn says. there's no definitive answer to the question of who is more likely to be public. whoever wins isn't going to be because it's a bad line. this board and every single other one is 99 percent square and just because you read a discussion board and know some names doesn't mean you are clued into what everyone else thinks.

i have been on the right side of osu 3 times this year. usc beat their ass, they barely beat wisky but did cover, and they beat they beat the crap out of sparta last week. i have also bet pn st against wisky and left the purdue game alone.

i feel that pn st has too many weapons for OSU this time and, pryor is not good enough passer to get it done this weekend. we will see.

anything can happen, but i think pn st gets the revenge this sat night with a better offense than Osu.

I do think Pryor got a lot of media attention and is not an unknown if you follow college foots but totally agree with BDB in what the heck are you guys THINKING when you say the line begs for Ohio State money???? The overall public perception is that Penn ST is much better than Ohio State...not only from how they performed in the nationally televised games, but also the average joe-bettor guy has cashed a lot with Penn St and not much with Ohio State this year....I'm even in Ohio, a Buckeye fan and surrounded by huge buckeye fans and none of them are too confident in this game.

I'll probably stay away from it myself, but if you think the line is begging for Ohio St money, you're clueless in using lines for betting because the public's going to be on Penn St. Heck, the line is like Penn St-2 or -2.5 and even if they opened the line at say -6 , the public money would still be on Penn St.... But they are definitely not begging for Ohio State bets at that line!

GL all.
