I made one with your ingredients substituting wife's red sauce for tomatoes pur?e. The other I added goat cheese. Flavor is right, but there is a pool of water at the center of each pizza. I dried the mozz, so guessing there is a higher water content in wife's sauce than canned tomatoes:shrug:

Of course, I forgot to take pics:facepalm:

You used too much sauce or used Buffalo mozzarella which has more water

The red sauce may have been a bit wetter but it probably had a lot more flavor. The basil and cheeses were good, but I had too much dough and not enough seasoning.

I used to work at Rosati's which is a local chain that has started to go national over the last 20 years and their ingredients were pretty homemade . . we made the dough with flour. yeast and water. . . the sauce was made from canned whole tomatoes. . . The pizza's great but it's inconsistent because of it. My point is I should have known better and spent a bit more time on the sauce or use less of it.

I'll give it another go. I enjoy it, my daughter likes it as much as play-dough.

I used buffalo mozzarella. Next time im going to shred the mozz to ensure better coverage. Despite excess water, the pizza was delicious. Plus, it was easy and kids loved it.
