Amazing how hype and media and forum pundits can lead the uninformed to mass hysteria. If folks could think for theselves and outside the box, the obvious would jump out at them..
from CDC below.... approximate deaths from regular flu. Per chart below from 25,000- to 50,000 yearly from 2012 to 2020.
(2019-2020) season (25,000)
Deaths 2021-2022 (5,000) lowest rate since they kept track. You can look up heart-cancer-aids ect and see same trend.

What conclusion would a prudent person come to?
I'm expecting answers from some like.. the vaccine cured all the others...It must have been the masks :SIB

The hysteria only seems to come from the people that watch right wing media.

Clint and Trevor both addressed the flu case decline during the pandemic in at least one other thread. Not sure what they said but it was logical. If I take the bait and try to come up with a conclusion that a "prudent person" would come to: Remote work has had a major impact and the fact that many of the people with the weakest immune systems have already succumbed to COVID. Bottom line, I don't need to think long and hard about it. The CDC isn't trying to pull one over on me or anyone else. It's just counting.
