I like the 50/50 plays.

I'm still just putzing with 3-5$ plays to get the feel, but I'm about ready to go a little higher. (......and probably get swept!)


I even made $2 in the free roll you guys set up!

That's why you can't put any serious money in these events with so many people playing.

Stick to the ones you have a shot at, and the 50/50s

So, if 20 guys are in, half win the other half's cash. 500 are in, 250, etc.

You just need to be above average!

Be very careful with this strategy. Ensure that you are in single entrance 50/50's or also called Double or Nothings. Most pros just enter tons of the exact same lineup into every one of these contests. For example in a 1000 person $5.00 DON they might enter 200 or so of the same lineup to get 1k in action on their lineup. You are competing against the best a lot in these things. Look for single entry ones, as they are much easier.
