Just picked this up from Houston Chronicle.
"And for Davis Love III, it's the last chance to see if his back will stop being such a pain. Love was the last player to arrive at Champions, getting on the property about 1 p.m. Wednesday. He skipped the pro-am to rest his back, which has given him trouble off and on throughout the year.

"It's the same thing that's been bothering me the whole year," Love said. "It's like anything else in life. The minute you think you have it beat, it gets you again."

Love hit balls on the practice range in the afternoon to test out the back and is expected to try to play today"

With that being said I have found past 2 years, and I think Stan will concur, trying to play matches based on reports like these have not been the best scenerio.Personally I have been drilled on matches trying to play against such reports but thought I'd put it up here.

adding @ WSEX
72 holes Estes -110 over Garcia
echo Stans report.Estes in torrid form with 4 straight top 5's and is Texas boy and home cookin won't hurt.
Will also take Dimarco -110over Garcia 1st rd.
Would prefer 72 hole route but that option not avalable.Since going to the "claw" in June has fired (excluding internation)opening rd in the 60's 10 straight where as hot and cold Garcia just barely beats 50% on ist rds shooting 70 or worse in 8 of 17 starts.

DTB,
Interesting stat on Garcia 8/17... but we need somebody this winter to come up with a killer formula we can all use.. that includes where players have played the same course... or perhaps how they have done first round compared to the full field first round average... whether it was a first visit to the course ...., etc.
Where Garcia & Dimarco have played together in those 17 starts Dimarco won 4, Garcia won 3 and 2 were tied - I know you will correct me if I'm wrong! (Sprint was also tied but not included). Looks a bit closer on that stat.. but it is interesting that Garcia hasn't won since the Memorial.
Both new to this week's course??

Bettingmad: I have found your stats to be very accurate for most part however we all make mistakes on occasions.I keep some tables during year like wind-cold-rain ect but as you can see last week need Stan the Man to put them in proper respective.
Could get bit in the bottom this week with most plays opposing Segio and Tiger (a dinamic duo)but took a shot. Was most impressed with Dimarco after going to claw which I hope I'm am correct on date as I am pulling that from memory in interview severl months ago and do not have it logged as official date and when I pull things from recall there is lots of room for error. LOL

Come on then Stanley... give us a lst rd 2/3 ball formula.. so we have a percentage per player... how about factoring in:
1) Current form
2) Course form allowance ..if any
3) lst round performances against field average year to date
4) Weather conditions...?
5) Weeks since played ...
6) am or pm start?
plus others...
but what's the magic weighting for each factor? You have time ...it's winter soon you're bound to be bored

Just when you thought it was safe to bet online...somebody mentioned Firststake!!
The realisation that Hasselbaink to be top goalscorer in the Premiership at 9/1 was bet with a company that went down the pan was one of the worst moments in over 20 years of betting for me!

The ?750 it cost me was nowhere near as much as Multisports lost. They described Firststake as crooks (allegedly!). Now that betting is tax free in the UK, I don't expect Multisports to go on-line.

There is always Sean Graham, of course, who will be going on-line in September??!!

1st rounders both push
Neither Dimarco nor Love had much to beat but both settled for draws.Might be fortunate as Tiger appears to be in pain.Hard to tell though I saw him rubbing his wrist early in year like it was broken only to shoot 3 under the remaining back nine.
72 holes have Duval up one on Tiger,Langer up 3 on weir and Estes 2 down to Sergio.
Langer hangin in on outright.

2nd rounders
Duval -108 over Singh @ 5Dimes
Langer -105 over Lowery @ $plays
Dimarco +110 over Garcia @ $plays
Estes +100 over Calc @ $plays

Note Sportingbet has this line on Estes/Calc
M Calcavecchia vs B Estes
Fri Nov 2 17:30:00 2001 6/4 15/2 4/6

If you chose to do so a $100 wager on Estes @ $plays and $80 on calc and $20 on tie would give you free shot @ $70 profit in event of tie.

Mid-point update:

Ugly state of affairs at the mid-point, just as well there is no cut. The scores: Sutton/Calc 8 down; Stricker/Durant 6 down; Love/Els 5 down; Duval/Garcia 2 down; Estes/Garcia 1 down; Singh/Garcia 7 down; Lehman/Allenby 6 up; Lehman/Langer 4 down; Lehman/McCarron 3 up. In the outrights, Love is 22nd and Estes and Lehman are 7th, so not quite the end-of-season event I had in mind!

Didn't get to see any any of it today.Evidently Tiger miraculously healed.
Read article where he told reporter this morning it wasn't as painful as his wrist when he struck pebble next to his ball.Said he could have moved it but didn't think it was fair.Right! However he did deem it fair for people to move 2 1/2 ton boulder.

3rd round
Tiger -125 over Els @ $plays
Oly cont Toms -110 over Faxon 1 down

Hard to venture out with wind being major defense for course plus all injury reports and trying to seperate fact from fiction.Tiger acting like he won't finish one day and all smiles the next,Toms score looked like he was maligned 1st day only to shoot lights out the next.Truely believe only player injured to be Love and you haven't heard peep out of him.
A little wind project for today, halaluya.
The aggresive should not have the field day they had yesterday.Still think Duval is playing well despite triple yesterday and some interesting wagers avalable out there for anyoneone liking his chances.Oly has win and show bets available for 1st time I can remember after the start and has him at 4/1 to show and also +200 in cont vs Tiger.Win bet would have best odds @ WSEX inters @ $6 a contract 15.6 to 1.Picked a few shares there a while ago.

Langer still hanging in 3rd but unless course conditions toughen tomorrow he will be gone.Just can't compete in these low scoring conditions.Dimarco dropped to 13th.

Duval made nice charge, inters shares now @$26 a share, will sell a few and hold a few.
