he exploited a weakness in the cut of the cards not even the casino knew about....He exploited them...

A three year old boy with an IQ above 7 knew he was edge sorting, the fact the Pit Boss/Floor Manager/Casino Director/etc. etc. didn't know is laughable. They never changed the cards:142smilie

If you play baccarat you know what edge sorting is.

It would be like being a Pit Boss in blackjack and not knowing what card counting is.

Edge sorting and card counting are not illegal in North America by the way.

Way to go Phil, good to see you made money of these stupid greedy casinos, you outplayed them and took advantage of there greed...way to go Phil:00hour:00hour

He did scam them..Accused and guilty.

Also why is he glorified when he was illegally using a fake ID to gambling @ 15.

If he wasn't a winner and a big name he would be ripped apart.

The guy spent 5 years illegally betting and gambling using a fake ID that's a joke.

I used a fake ID to get into a fucking bar.

Huh? Who cares if someone did something when they were officially too young? Good for him, rules restricting freedom are meant to be broken, or at least tested. I can't think of a worse audience to question the character of someone for... gambling.

And that is exactly what's wrong in our country today.
Rules are in place for a reason.
No morals.
Teaching youth that rules broken have no consequence.
Pathetic.

Oh please. What youths? This is a gambling forum where nearly everyone is doing so under quasi-illegal circumstances.
Oh the humanities.

And there are more laws and rules in this country than EVER before. And there are more people in jail than ever before. If anything, if you believe rules and consequences are #1 priority you should say "America is doing a great job".

That's the end game for you guys. As long as someone can "fuck the greedy casino", you are fine with it.

Phil can know the cards before he bets, and that's just sloppy casino personnel, but if he knows your hole cards, it's not even in the same ballpark. You need a reality check.

More Bullshit from YYZ.

Again, you are spouting off wrong information, you might want to get the facts before you post that shit. You keep posting this "he knew the outcome of the hand before he bet" which is bullshit, he didn't. He wasn't dealt the cards and then he was able to bet, that is false. I have read the points in the lawsuit, the casino never dealt all four cards (or 5 or 6) before he bet. He could see one card in the shoe and if the shoe was lose maybe if he got lucky he could see the edge of the second card. So stop posting inaccurate information.

On some hands he had a small advantage, you are making it sound like he got to see the ball land on red in roulette and then being allowed to bet.

And then you compare it to him playing poker and him knowing your hand, which is completely different.

You really have no idea what the hell you are talking about, you keep posting shit about Phil that never happened, and then comparing it to situations that have nothing to do with what took place.

Phil did nothing illegal, so yes I am fine with it. Same as with counting cards in blackjack, it isn't illegal so yep I am fine with it.

How anybody can side with the casino in this case is beyond me, he did nothing illegal, simple as that.

He had a small advantage, and took both of those incompetent casinos for millions, good for him:mj05:

Way to go Phil:00hour

I just found out why I had it in my head that the cards were dealt before Phil bet.

Well no matter where you got the idea in your head, it never happened, he never got to bet after the cards were dealt.
