Here is the innocent victim that came in a few days ago, Trinity.
She was originally thought to have been hit by a car at first glance but upon further investigation it is very apparent she was used as a bait dog/ tortured somehow.
She has bite wounds covering her face and body and there is clearly burnt skin and hair all over her face. She has toes that have been bitten all the way through the bone which are now infected and will have to be amputated.
The day she came in, the ER Doctors had to sedate her so they could safely explore her wounds to clean and stitch what they could.
They found her to be extremely anemic, covered in fleas and infested with worms. The gums and lip have been ripped from her skull on one side and her jaw bone is showing through. In fact, you can put your finger in her mouth and it would come out the bottom of her face.
She has a lot of decaying tissue on her face and a few other places that might require for her to have skin graphs done. She will remain in the ER for about a week while they sedate her Trinity is about 3 years old, un spayed, and heartworm positive.
She has been through the worst of the worst, yet she remains patient and kind.... staying strong and fighting through it all to get better.

I just copied and pasted that from the website rather than type my thoughts on this case, and it doesn't even begin to tell the story of all that will go into trying to save this innocent dog from the hands of careless and fucked up human beings. A joint won't fix the problem.
