The Steelers are 10-0 in Monday home games under coach Bill Cowher, and haven't lost a Monday night home game since Chuck Noll was the coach in 1991. "

Is this correct? Was it a Sunday night game at Jax when they blocked that FG and ran it back for a TD on the last play of the game? Cowher almost tackled the guy as he ran by him he was so pissed.
(of course, I had Pitt so I remember the game, just not the day.)

Well, anyways....

I know it doesn't make sense. But I am sticking with it. I think I can make a case for it.

For one...Pitt is off of a big win last week vs division leading Cinci. They won by 2 TD's and saved their chances at winning the division. *LETDOWN TIME* Baltimore is beat up, the Steelers shouldn't be too worried about this game at all. Maybe even relaxed. Sloppy even. If Balt scores first I think I'm in ok shape. Even if they don't, a backdoor cover seems like a decent bet.

Thirteen points is a ton. The Steelers are not playing to cover, they will be trying to make sure they win the game. There's just no way I can lay 13 pts. The Ravens are not a great team, but they do generally still have a pretty decent defence. Reed and Lewis are out, I know...but I also like taking teams in the first game when they are missing their star player, as the rest of the team seems to pull together. (Doesn't last beyond one game, but often the team really pulls together for that one first game...not to mention, the line gets inflated). Missing 2 key guys on D...well, maybe that will be too much to overcome. We'll find out I guess.

If Pitt doesn't take them seriously (and I think there's a decent chance of that) and they don't actually start to PLAY until the 2nd half, covering will be very difficult. I'll take my chances.

Yes, congrats everyone. That definitely had the look of a letdown. The Steelers just did not have their heads in the game all night long. Baltimore on the other hand played hard without their defensive starters and did everything they could to snag a win. Just not enough talent in the end....but they did show they still have heart.

Letdown + F.G.A.T.I.T. = Cha-ching!
