The 22nd ranked Villanova Wildcats are home to take on the LeMoyne Dolphins at 6:30 pm eastern (that’s 3:30 pm OMR time) on FS1. Nova was bet up from -34.5 to -43.5. Total is 147.5. Note: line now -36.5/148.5
LeMoyne is in the North East Conference and it’s their first year in Division 1. They were welcomed by Georgetown in their first game which they lost by 37. One would think they would improve in their second game but Nova is way better than Georgetown. The Dolphins return three starters from last year: Sutherland, Slater and DePersia. Other than not having good D-1 shooters, they have little size and are all on the light side. Two Cats will have a 60 pound advantage in the paint.
On the Wildcat side, they wore down American last out and won by 27. This year the Cats have a deep bench. All four transfers can play with both Burton and Bamba capable of scoring in bunches. Neptune will mix and match lineups all night. There are 10 players who want to be starters. So, even if Nova is up by 35, these guys are going to want to score and defend. So, they are deeper, taller, quicker and heavier. I’m laying the big wood…buying the hook.
