Team POD comes up short in its bid to win 5 straight weeks
Beating the books for four straight weeks is pretty heroic. Five straight weeks? That’s epic. We were close. There were several 1 point and 1/2 point losses over the weekend that if went our way would have turned the tide. But, 28-31 it was. Nonetheless, we had some great Capping and let’s recognize these ‘gentlemen’.
Winning the GOLD MEDAL with an UNDEFEATED week (6-0) is WILD BILL! Grabbing the SILVER MEDAL at 5-2 is TRUCKER. And, at 4-2, taking home the BRONZE MEDAL is DOUBLETWO. Excellent job, guys! Congratulations!
Also in the Black was COACH BURNS (2-1). Thank you!
The Culprit was at .500 (1-1).
And the rest: Terryray (3-4), Elmer Fudd (2-4), Old Man River and Lauderdale Legend (2-5), Yanno (1-6) and Shatty (0-1).

Thank you for the kudos for the week and congratulations to the winners, it was a good week but big fail in the CFL, first ass kicking in a long while as the favorite to win it all, Toronto Argos go down in flames at Home!! UGH

The #21 and 2-0 Villanova Wildcats head 14 miles East to the Palestra in Philadelphia to battle Big 5 foe Penn (2-1). Nova is -11.5/140.5.
Big 5 games are always tough and Nova’s 4 transfer players will find out soon. Penn has 3 good players for the ‘Cats to focus on: Slajchert and Perkins combine for 33 ppg. Cam Thrower can get hot but is young. These guys can hit from deep and can play D. But can they do it for 40 minutes?
Villanova will go 11 deep and no doubt Coach Neptune will play around with lineups as Nova is playing Maryland, Texas Tech and likely North Carolina in the next 10 days. They have been underwhelming in their first two games against American and LeMoyne. Yes, the four transfers are learning to fit in but they really can put forth a better defensive effort.
Expect Eric Dixon, scoreless last out, to come up big tonight as well as Mark Armstrong. The Amarillo Assassin (Hausen) was 6 for 8 from 3 last out so he’ll draw some attention which should open up the inside.
Nova should have their best effort to date but they are playing their toughest opponent to date. Nonetheless, expect a solid 40 minutes and a Wildcat cover.
