The Wildcats, fresh off their sixth straight November tournament win, return to Philly?s Palestra to take on Big 5 rival La Salle. Tip is 3:00 eastern with Nova -16/146. The Explorers are coached by Ashley Howard who trained under Jay Wright for 6 years. The Explorer?s are 0-7 and have issues.
They don?t shoot well, rebound well or defend well. Nonetheless, they continue to heave up 3?s at an amazing rate. Pookie Powell is their go to guy averaging over 18 ppg. I wish there was more to say about the Explorers but....they will continue to shoot 3?s...if they hit, maybe they?ll make a game of it.

As for the Wildcats, they won a defensive battle vs 14th ranked Florida State last week. The game before they hit a record number of 3?s to crush OK St. These are great signs for the Cats. Defensively, they are slowly getting better.

They really should take La Salle by 25. The only words of caution are that Wright will likely play his bench, a lot, in this one. Nonetheless, I am on Nova-16.
