Next up in the Bahamas for the 4-1 Wildcats are the 4-0 14th ranked North Carolina Tar Heels. Carolina is -2.5/146.5. The game is on ESPN at 2:30 pm Eastern. Villanova took Texas Tech yesterday 85-69 and North Carolina crushed Northern Iowa 91-69 to earn this semifinal matchup in the Battle 4 Atlantis.
North Carolina is led by Armando Bacot at center and RJ Davis at guard. Harrison Ingram and Cormac Ryan are also major contributors. Bacot will be a mismatch for Nova’s Dixon inside and RJ Davis is a quick guard who will give Nova fits. Statistically, the teams are pretty much alike for this season. Carolina hasn’t played anyone as good as Nova yet. Nova hasn’t played anyone as good as the Tar Heels.
Every Capper who has a selection has taken North Carolina. Can’t blame them. Vegas expects a close one and so do I. Nova historically plays up to their competition. Both clubs can go deep into the bench. Both clubs are noted for slow starts. It just comes down to who will defend the best. The Cats allowed 14 3’s vs Texas Tech and Carolina made 14 3’s vs Northern Iowa. Both clubs will be tired playing a back to back but Nova’s kids just look more physical.
