Hate betting on the cubs...Should have known better with that line movement, didnt have internet this whole week and it is finally back... I was posting from my phone and didnt have the usual resources I love, but no excuses lets keep this rolling....

ytd 31-14

Cards - 219

Chris Carpenter is a career 11-1 with a 2.27 ERA against the pirates and I doubt they will put runs on the board like they did last night. In his last 3 stars Zach Duke has given up 18 runs... And after facing the doc halladay..this is going to look like bp for Pujlos and company.

Tampa bay -153

I really feel bad for any middle of the road pitchers facing this Tampa Bay lineup this year..and David Price is shaping up to the ace all the scouts said he would be... Oakland Athletics, who rank 11th in the American League in slugging percentage, and 12th in home runs should be a walk in the park for this youngster.

Twins -230

First, Kevin Millwood has never defeated the Minnesota Twins. He's 0-7 with a 5.90 ERA. Some clubs just have your number. Second, Francisco Liriano is a flawless 4-0 on the year with a 1.50 ERA, and last time he faced the o's he threw seven innings giving up one hit. Mauer being out really hurts this lineup but them being at home and o's coming off a win as big pups I feel confident.

Detroit -147

Think we are getting a good price on Verlander here ..maybe because the indians banged him for 6 earned runs in 5 innings last time he faced them....but Im not worried about that..
I hope you remember when I spoke about Verlander and is era in may compared to april,.it is night and day..the guy just has to work out the kinks and settle in and than hes all good...Cleveland is next to last in the AL in slugging and I expect him to bounce back with a vengence...also Masterson has a 7.04 era vs the tigers and my boy Miguel Cabrera is mashing the ball right now and last time he faced Masterson he went 3-3..small sample size but whatever I think hes going to have a good day helping the tigers to victory

texas -187

Rich Harden is 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA when facing the Kansas City Royals. Meche has a 5.87 era vs the Rangers and has been a mess lately.

Giants -180

Perfect game for mets to snap their 9 game home winning streak..the erratic Oliver Perez is 0-5 with a 7.07 ERA against the Giants. And Tim Lincecum kind of got ruffed up last time he faced the mets...but that only makes me think hes got some revenge on his mind..

Orioles +130

Number 1..hes Nick Blackburn and number 2 he has an 8.38 ERA against the Orioles. Matusz only gave up 1 run in 6 innings vs the yankees his last start..he has great stuff and his confidence should be booming after that performance.

adding astros now that Correia isnt pitching...Padres are just 2-10 against the Oswalt, who has posted a 2.68 ERA against them over the years.

Mets -162 :scared

I know I know....Maine has some ugly numbers so far this year.... BUT.. I have watched every game he has started and I honestly think his stuff wasn't really that bad...and to add to my argument the guy has struck out a batter per inning and has a 2.25 ERA in his past two starts... Lets add the fact that he has owned the Nationals, with the current roster hitting a lowly .150 off him 100 total at-bats and than lets combine that with the fact that the Nationals haven't been great against right-handers as they are rocking a .720 OPS which ranks 19th in the majors. Looks to me like a nice little formula for the mets to start a new win streak at citi field..

Arizona +106

Not a big fade the public guy but I do love to do so when I dont agree with them....And public % are on dodgers..guess they love Chad Billingsley at this price...but betting on a name and reputation in baseball can get you in trouble, because first off he hasn't pitched well against the Diamondbacks at all... In 182 at-bats against Billingsley, the current bunch of D-backs hitters are slugging .473 against him, lets add in the fact that this club is very dangerous at home with a league-leading .846 OPS... And Billingsley isn't exactly shutting anyone down this year...and its not like he faced anyone special....five of his six starts have come against teams at .500 or worse and the only start against an above .500 team is the 14-13 Nationals.

Great luck my players and playerettes

freaking mets,,,Maine actually pitches well and they leave 11 men stranded on base...2 men on and no out in the first inning and you cant produce a run? disgusting...had a bad feeling once I saw alot of people going "big" on mets in forums....We will get it back

Texas -170

Oakland is 4-8 away from home this year and 1-7 in their last 8 road games...Rangers are 11-6 at home and are hot right now...These two starters faced off last time these teams met and I expect Colby Lewis to come out with the W this time around...Lewis was atop the American League leader board with 44 strikeouts in 38.2 innings this season.

Cardinals -230

Out of 30 teams in the mlb...the astros rank
30th..which is dead last...They have only scored 85 runs all year..and that is 17 less than the team in 29th...As a team they are batting .226 on the year...Last time Penny faced them he shut them out over 7 innings only allowing 3 hits...O yeah.. Pujlos goes yard tonite.

Niemanns ERA increases by more than a run on the road and imo is due for a bad start..which is going to happen sooner or later..hes gotten lucky so far with a .214 batting average on balls in play and a middle of the road strike out rate...Kazmir is without a doubt fired up to face the club that got rid of him and hopefully will be throwing his slider tonite rather than just his fastball and change...the Rays do rank third in runs scored BUT their .736 team OPS, which ranks 16th tells me they are really not as good as their record shows and that number gets even worse against lefties where ther ops is .654 which ranks 22nd
