Every Canadian provinces main trade partner is the United States. Canada doesn’t have refining capabilities for sour crude. Canada doesn’t even have pipelines to the eastern part of the country that don’t run through the northern United States. Last year 350 terror watchlist were arrested at the US Canada border only 150 on the terror rock watchlist were arrested at the Mexican border. There are currently almost 50k international students in Canada who are not enrolled. Foreigners are using Canada then slipping in through the north border. Canada’s open border policy and weak immigration policy is the reason the northern border has become terror watch list path of choice into then USA. If Canada doesn’t tighten up , then your number of unemployed citizens will double this year. Time to play ball, Canada.

Just yanking your chain a little bit A DJT trade war with Canada is not positive. He is asking Canada to do things such as track fentanyl components, and be more mindful of those on terror watchlist. Canada will modify their policy on this front, and all will be well again.

In the end, this little spat will make North America safer from both terrorism and fentanyl. Plus, my guess it will bring the United States and Canada closer than ever economically as more citizens realize how important we are to each other.
