I did some really fucked up things when I was 16 and was in a couple of conflicts during my time in the Marine Corps and had to shoot people. Really leaves you numb until you see somebody throwing live helpless animals out of a moving car. I understand you were only 16 but that still is some seriously sick shit dude. I talked with the local game warden today and he said that the convict had still not been caught.
The guys parents lived in the nearby town of Alexander City which was 18 miles from our hunting property.
The game warden also informed me that the Coosa County Sheriff's Dept did not inform the conservation officers of an escaped convict in the area. The investigator that questioned me after the altercation said that they recieved word that the wife of the convict had picked him up after he had escapped and had dropped him off a few miles from the cabin we were staying at.
The game warden and myself both believe that the local law inforcement felt that it was not their responsiblity for being on the lookout for the guy because he escaped in Crenshaw County.
BTW the guy was to be released in June 2012.
