lol...Bahama Mama! She's not thrilled she can't go to vegas with me and got pissed when I told her I got a dead center front row seat to the newest Cirque show:D

Marine, thanks for the help, links most useful.

Al, you should really check out the Amex Starpoints card, looks like a superb deal. I just signed up and I got a nice credit line as well:D Now what to do with my existing Amex card...

kneifl

doesn't the starpoint card have an interest rate of 16-17% ?

the capital one card has a 5.99% interest rate....

also the amex gold card offers more benefits than their interest rate card....

Try checking out the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards

Through ThankYouNetwork....possible to link other cards/accounts to one reward account

No annual fee
$1 =1 pt (25,000 pts = free domestic flight)
$1 on gas/grocery purchases =5 pts each...definately adds up

I didn't know people still payed annual fees on credit cards. I thought that was a thing of the past, but then again, I have never had AMEX.

in my opinion and what I have read from the website I linked earlier, the Starwood Amex card is clearly the best based on points earned per dollar spent, and the ability to transfer points from program to program with more favorable terms than other cards.

Those guys have extreme knowledge of the programs ( to the point its sick) and the Starwood card seems to be the one that everyone there uses with the best results.

I have that Citi prefered card that S_Dooley is talking about. 8.15% interest rate currently and I'm sitting on 17,500 points right now. Have redeemed many times that amount of points in the 6 years I've been using the card and have had no complaints at all with the card or the redemption process.
