and/or anyone else who follows the Ravens....

Has anything actually changed re: the Ravens' defense, particularly their pass defense? The first half of the year, they were a sieve. Their numbers improved dramatically the last 8 games. Are they doing anything differently? Did they get some players back from injury? Or is it simply because they haven't faced a top-10 offense in that time frame?

Their last 8 games, they faced...

Pittsburgh 3X
LAC
Phil
NYG
Houston
Cleveland

Only the Chargers and Eagles are in the top 20 of yards/play, and they scored 23 & 24 against Baltimore.

I'm trying to figure out if they're actually better, or just look better due to facing a lot of poor offenses.

It may not matter, because even when they were giving up a lot of points, they held Buffalo to 10.

Any thoughts?

They brought back Dean Pees to help the new DC who was previously the linebackers coach.
They moved Kyle Hamilton to safety and the overall communication on the field is hugely improved by Kyle helping take the pressure off Roquan. The only weak link in the pass defense is #21 Brandon Stevens, IMO. My son likes Stevens but damn, the guy can't cover anybody and commits a shit ton of penalties.

Weasel would know a lot better than me, hopefully he'll chime in.

Plus I assume other teams throw more vs the Ravens, affecting the stats, since nobody can run on them. Or they'd even be better statistically.

thank you, sir. and, yeah, that's why i pretty much always use yards/att. i never look at the yards/game stat, because it's so easily skewed.

What Jack said on Hamilton. Heard it mentioned several times that once they moved him to Safety, the defense improved tremendously.
