there seems to be lots of ohio guys here in beautiful madjackland.
is it possible to pool our information together and really jump on or off the buckeye bandwagon each week. i know the mac and cinci are out there, but i think concentrating on the bucks coukld prove to be moneymaking. not trying to slight anyone here, but if we can chip in on the bucks it would help everyone here. i would be willing to start a thread on say monday that can accumulate by saturday morning. any takers?

I'm LMAO, the only replies are from Michigan fans and I'm sure their input would be real objective.

BTW Tressel sucks???? The Bucks had no problem taking care of the wolverines in their house.

Now that sucks:moon: :D :violin:

Yep, I bleed maize and blue, but I give credit where it is due and I give all the credit to John Navarre for last years loss. Don't get me wrong, Navarre will be ok this season....he just slipped at the end of last season.

If you think I'll be biased against OSU...you wrong. You OSU fans are more biased for them than I am against them. Maybe people would be better off hearing from an Ohio guy who doesn't see through scarlett and grey glasses. That being said....OSU is very very very overrated this season. All their talk is focused on people who have very little or no playing time. They lost 3 starters on the o line and have no depth at that position, they have 3 running backs who've never stepped on the field and their QB has thrown about 10 passes in game situations. But you can listen to whomever you want to.....I promise I won't say I told you so.

As for Tressel......I've watched him for 10 years and trust me.....HE SUCKS!

Hey Smooth,

Don't bring up the past, just let me relish last year. Speaking of the past, I'm still smarting from Bo's 1st year at Michigan coming from Miami of Ohio and bringing the maize and blue down to Columbus and as big underdogs whipped Woody pretty good.
That game should be used by all coaches as a training tool for what motivation and inspiration by a coach can do. I knew Bo at Miami and he was a very personable guy, but a nutcracker when it came to football and handball, he was good in the pits.

But not so fast my friend, Tressel has begun a new era and so far so good!
:nono:

haha, yeah, I know, soak it up while you can. I mean, you only get to do it every 5 years or so...I can take it.

Tressel's new era...so far so good??? Weren't they like 6-6 last year? Didn't they lose another bowl game. Yeah, I guess that's good for Ohio State standards.

Don't forget...Cooper beat Michigan the first time he faced them too. ;)

Ctownguy - Are you a Miami alum? If so, always nice to talk with a fellow Redskin. Class of '00 myself...

JSmooth - Just curious if you just continually talk trash about the Bucks or actually make predictions regarding the conference. I'd be eager to see what your thoughts and/or picks would be for the upcoming season. I've already got my tickets for Nov. 23rd and I'm looking at booking a plane ticket this afternoon. I don't plan on making a trip for nothing and I really believe Big-10 title on the line that afternoon for both teams. Why don't you throw out your choices if you can be objective enough...

I am going to chime in on this thread.

I would not say that Ohio State/Michigan will be playing for the Big 10 title.

Watch out for the Nittany Lions:nono: Their QB can play with the big boys and they are pretty solid at every position.

Michigan or Penn State will win the Big 10 this year, with the Buckeyes coming in third.

Chenker - always good to get people talking about Big-10 as I miss the bias of the Midwest. I agree with you that Penn State will be a MUCH better team than last season. But asking them to win 2 out of 3 road games in 4 weeks against Wisconsin, Michigan and OSU is a bit much. Michigan St is more of a sleeper than the Nittany Lions having 7 of the first 8 games at home to start the year. I believe 6-2 should win the conference this year with PSU 8-4 overall, 5-3 in the conference which is a bit more realistic than a title this season...

big 10

The Big 10 will be really wide open this year, I believe. OSU and Michigan are both overrated; that being said they both have a very good shot at winning the conference. There is just a lot of parity so obviously the "name" schools are going to get the preseason props. PSU could also make noise. Wisconsin will be a team to watch for as a potential sleeper. They play 5 non-conference games to try and get their D in better shape than last year, and their offense will be smoking even without Evans. If they can take out PSU in the Big 10 opener in what should be Evans' first game back, they could be a real contender. Of course they will have their annual loss to Michigan, but I think we're all in agreement that no one is going to go undefeated in conference play. It's going to be a very interesting conference race to watch develop.

bigdad2 - Yes I am, but way before your time, class of '70. Bo was still HC when I started at Miami. Came back in '75 and got my Master's degree. Great school, I really enjoyed my time there.
