ive run into this problem, not even just when quoting, but when creating new post - but more so happens when quoting
the simple work-around fix for me, is... go to beginning of typed message (hopefully you realized no spaces in time) then simply hit return couple times, and start post again, above the original -no space- reply, and voila, spaces, no problem. delete the no-space gibberish at end, and hit submit/post
no idea as far as causation however
