Anyway you shake it there are some good fights.

Sponge, I don't think Rashad is getting the credit he deserves because in too many of his fights he's been getting beat. (i know i know, he still winning). I think Machida would tool him because of how good his standup is and if Rashad took him to the ground I think many would be suprised at how good Machida is there. I don't like Machida but until someone shows me he has a weakness, I'll think he can't be beat.(I would like to see someone test his chin)

Why would be surprised by how good Machida is on the ground? He is a black belt in BJJ.

BTW Thiago Silva knocks out Machida. People are overlooking him. :nono: Don't act like anything in MMA is a lock. We all saw what Mir did to Nog, and what Evans did to Chuck.

When GSP beats Penn.......the biggest fight in MMA history will take place.......GSP vs. Anderson (catch weight). So that's answers your question with regards to Anderson. I mean they are tied for best pound for pound fighters on the planet, they will fight each other, I assure you.

And on that card don't be shocked if you have Gina versus Cyborg. Dana can't stand female MMA, but don't be shocked to see those two chicks fight.

As for Rashad title defense, it will most likely be against Rampage......although if we take a look at others in the division.

Forrest Griffin.........umm why not a rematch?

Lyoto Machida.......boooooring, no friggen way UFC wants this guy as a champ!

Luiz Cane.....he's good but ummm...no.

Renato Sobral.....no longer in UFC.

Vladimir Matyushenko.....not in UFC

Chuck Liddell....he's had his run.

Wanderlei Silva...time to retire...head is mush.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.......no comment

Keith Jardine.......does have exciting fights!

Rich Franklin.......maybe in 6 months.

Thiago Silva....ummmmm......no.

And finally, don't be surprised if Arlovski beats Fedor...Fedor management team are a bunch of morons, and Fedor loves money too much. He'll never fight in the UFC because of all the money he gets by fighting crap fighters elsewhere. Bottom line, Fedor won't go to the UFC because he's greedy.....simple as that.

Note: I did not include Shogun in list due to long long layoff. And with Pride guys being full of roids, most have been exposed in UFC. But Shogun knee was bad, so I just don't think you can include him in the mix.

GSP will beat Penn, but he has to face Thiago Alves next. I honestly think he loses that fight, but I still would love to see him vs Anderson. I think if somehow GSP beats Alves he will leave the 170 weight class.

Rampage
Anderson Silva
Machida
Arlovski (I think he can cut the weight)
Hendo may be an option

I don't know exactly but I don't think Rashad is the best 205 in the UFC and I think the champ should be the best guy.

Machida has won 5 of his last 6 by decision.. thats far from impressive. You mention one guy who is a 185 and fought one stiff at 205, you mention another guy who would have to cut a ton of weight to get to 205, and hendo, who hasnt been the same at all since pride. You are reaching my friend.. reaching big time. Keep on doubting evans, he is the one guy besides Anderson who continues to get better each fight.

I hear you, and agree with most, I am just saying I don't think Rashad is as good as people think. He is relatively young and has a ton to learn yet, but he puts all of his eggs in one basket it seems. We'll see, who they give him.

When do you think they will make him defend? April, June, July. Just curious how long until we see him fight again. He is entertaining, but getting cockier each day.

Personally, I don't think Machida will get a shot because Dana has admitted he is boring. rampage seems like the best candidate considering that fight would NOT go to the cards, someone is taking a nap. As far as Anderson, I was thinking why would he ever fight again at 185? Nothing to gain, also I don't see why he would settle for anything less than a title shot at 205.

I really hope MMA doesnt become a boxing match, it is exciting but I like to see the BJJ/submissions also.

The UFC could solve this with a simple tournament and rank the fighters 1-7 and give the #1 champ Evans a 1st round bye. Then have 2/7,3/6,4/5 fight on one night then winners meet on another ppv and championship fight on another.
2 Griffin 3 Rampage 4 Machida 5 Chuck 6 Randy 7 Henderson

Who would want to see Griffin/Hendo, Rampage/Randy,Machida/Chuck on the same card?

Big ppv money and would settle some things. I guess that is too easy though.

Dana will never let Machida fight for the belt until he beats a TOP contender first. And please don't say he beat Tito.

Who is a good striker in the 205 division? People keep on doubting Rashad and he keeps on KO'ng their idles. Rashads striking is where he is at his best.. I would like to see someone get him on his back and see BJJ defense.

The problem with this that I don't know if there is anyone that once they get him on his back can keep him there. Tito got him down but couldn't keep him there. Rashad looks a lot like BJ or Chuck when they're on the ground, they're so good at getting up people have to concentrate on that and not putting some damage down.

Rashad is a pretty damn good combination. Good striker that is super quick for the weight class and let's not forget that he is an awesome wrestler. So far he hasn't even had to use that. I think if he faces someone that is a better striker you will see him shoot and take them down.

Evans isn't all that exciting either, Machida haters. How many fights often does he come forward and grab the other guy against the cage? a lot of them. yawn.

I'm ok with Rampage getting the title shot, but I think it should be in this order

Machida
Rampage
Thiago (if he somehow beats Machida)
'Banha' Cane (he gets no love, but this guy is a bad, bad man)

People that keep on calling Koscheck and Evans boring are living in the TUF days, theres a difference between being boring and being calculated. If you watched Kenny Florian in his last fight, he fought a smart fight..You don't want to be wreckless like Wanderlei. I think Evans is fairly exciting and explosive.
