The racist commentary has increased quite a bit since Obama became an issue for some people. Some people get scared and frustrated when non-white people achieve success or places of power. Some of those people, who have a hard time understanding things and cannot communicate well have to turn to name calling and racist rants to let out their frustration.
I like Ray personally, and consider his comments essentially harmless to a degree. But you have to draw the line somewhere, and it crossed the line. There are others that are a tad more communicative, and subversive in their racism around here, and get away with it.
