Rentboy escort: I gave `sexual' massages to antigay leader George Rekers

A gay male escort from Miami spoke to CNN about his trip to Europe with an antigay psychologist paid by Florida to testify in defense of the state's gay adoption ban.

An antigay psychologist's recent trip to Europe with a gay male escort from Miami has captivated readers and viewers around the world. Salacious stories have been published from South Florida to New Zealand, and it has been the butt of jokes by Jay Leno, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart.

And on Friday, the young escort at the center of the scandal spoke with CNN correspondent Randi Kaye for Anderson Cooper's prime-time show.

Jo-vanni Roman -- a k a Geo and Lucien -- told Kaye that psychologist George A. Rekers, an officer of the conservative National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) and a retired University of South Carolina professor, paid him $75 a day plus expenses to travel with him for two weeks in April to London and Madrid.

Included for the money: Roman, 20, would give nude ``sexual'' massages to Rekers, 61, every day during their trip, the younger man told Kaye.

Gay activists and bloggers have pounced on the story: Rekers, a well-known antigay activist, recently was paid more than $120,000 by Florida to testify in defense of the state's gay-adoption ban.

Earlier this week, Rekers acknowledged traveling with Roman but denied having sex with him. The professor said he hired Roman to carry his luggage during their trip.

Rekers did not respond Friday to several e-mailed requests for comment.

Rekers said he learned of Roman's travel services through ``acquaintances.'' Roman says Rekers hired him after viewing his seminude photos on Rentboy.com, a gay-sex website.

Earlier this week, Roman told The Miami Herald that he and Rekers didn't have sex.

``In all honesty, I did go on the trip with him,'' Roman said Wednesday. ``He was setting me up as a companion. In all honesty, he's a very kind family-values man.''

Early Thursday, however, Roman told Miami New Times reporters about the nude massages. He maintained to the alternative newspaper that ``Rekers never asked for full-on sex and expressed no interest in attaining orgasm.''

The lurid story echoes a 2006 scandal that felled antigay evangelist Ted Haggard, who stepped down as president of the 30 million-member National Association of Evangelicals after escort Mike Jones said he had given sexual massages to Haggard for three years.

``It comes down to what your definition of sex is,'' Jones told The Miami Herald on Friday. ``Ted Haggard also said we didn't have sex and later admitted that `sexual immoralities' happened.''

Jones said the Rekers scandal attracted worldwide interest for the same reason as Haggard's.

``It's the same kind of hypocrisy,'' he said. ``When you are in a position of influence in people's lives and you're a hypocrite about it, that's when it's serious. It rises to a different level.''

The story broke Tuesday after someone tipped reporters about Rekers' holiday with Roman, who said Wednesday that the New Times ``ambushed and took pictures'' of them on their return to Miami International Airport.

Wayne Besen, executive director of Truth Wins Out, a national group that opposes the ex-gay movement, also was interviewed Friday in Miami by CNN. He describes Roman as "a victim."

"Unfortunately, this incident may define [Roman's] entire life. Of course, he is an adult and he did make those choices," Besen told The Herald. "It's easy to dismiss him as a loser seeking his 15 minutes of attention. But he never sought attention by exploiting the situation

Is Rush Limbaugh really a closet homosexual ?

Political commentator, radio host, college drop-out, alleged closet homosexual, and, as previously revealed, synthetic heroin drug addict, Rush Hudson Limbaugh III is probably the best known neocon personality in American radio.

Born in Cape Girardeau, MO, in 1951, Limbaugh spent many of his formative years pursuing a career in radio. After using his pilonidal cyst - a congenital birth defect - to avoid military service in the Vietnam War, Limbaugh briefly worked for radio stations in Pittsburgh, PA and Kansas City, MO. Fired from both jobs, he worked as a wiener salesman for the KC Royals baseball franchise, eventually slithering back into the radio business.

In 1971 Limbaugh attended Southeastern Missouri University, where, according to reports, he had a brief but heated affair with Elliot Sanders. So gay is Limbaugh, guarantees Sanders, that, "none of his marriages was ever consummated."
:scared
Many of Limbaugh's fans staunchly deny the man's alleged homosexuality, and Limbaugh himself says the rumors are politically motivated lies. However, one is forced to doubt Limbaugh, who has a history of denying and balking at rumors
that are later revealed to be true. His pilonidal cyst, his pseudonymous career in Pittsburgh radio, and his addiction to
Oxycontin are all facts which Limbaugh initially denied or concealed.

After more failed stints with Missouri radio stations Limbaugh
moved to Sacramento, CA, where he met and became "friends" with Norm Woodruff, a flamboyant, openly gay man with a
great deal of influence in the local radio scene. Woodruff, who mentored Limbaugh in the ways of affluence and elitism (traits
Rush mocks today), would later died of AIDS.

................................................................

I have nothing against gay people but for conservatives that put Rush on a pedestal and make him out to be some kind of guiding light.

L.A. Mayor to Answer Limbaugh's Race Swipe
Hey, you know what's a riot? Comparing one of the country's foremost Latino politicians to "a shoeshine guy" because of his race.

A spokesman for Antonio Villaraigosa says the Los Angeles mayor is planning a statement in response to an ethnically-flavored drive-by served up by Rush Limbaugh yesterday. [Update: Villaraigosa's press secretary says there won't be a statement after all; meanwhile, the head of the National Hispanic Media Coalition calls Limbaugh's remark "nasty, bigoted [and] racist.

In a segment about Hillary Clinton, the right-wing radio blabber recounted meeting Villaraigosa, who became the first Latino to head his city's government in 130 years in 2005, when Bill Clinton introduced the two of them in a restaurant last year.

"I shook [Clinton's] hand, he left, comes back [with] the mayor of Los Angeles," he told listeners. "I thought it was a Secret Service agent, maybe a shoeshine guy. Turns out he gives me his card, I said, 'Oh, my gosh, it's the mayor of Los Angeles.'"

Oh my gosh indeed! He's just like a real-live mayor, but pigmenty. Who'd a thunk? Maybe Limbaugh will claim he was actually lampooning racist stereotypes, as Don Imus did after he called then-New York Times reporter Gwen Ifill "the cleaning lady." (Ifill's black. Get it?)

I'll post Villaraigosa's statement as soon as I have it. I'm also awaiting word from the National Hispanic Media Coalition.

Update, 2:08 p.m.: Alex Nogales, president of the National Hispanic Media Coalition, says this: "What can I tell you? It's the same kind of nasty, bigoted, racist type of comment that has become so prevalent in today's society, as practiced by Lou Dobbs, as practiced by [Sean] Hannity, [Bill] O'Reilly, [Michael] Savage -- all these guys who are appealing to a particular bigoted audience,DTB, RAYMOND, hedge, Skul and fanning the fires of bigotry and racism by doing these kinds of things without real concern about the consequences of their words. And the consequences are that these kinds of comments have helped in raising the rate of crimes against Latinos 35 percent in last three years." (He attributes that figure to the FBI.) "These guys have no civility in their makeup, no compassion, and very little intelligence when it comes to opening their mouths."

Iran hangs woman, four other 'enemies of God'
By Jay Deshmukh (AFP) ? 12 hours ago

TEHRAN ? Iran hanged on Sunday five militants, including a Kurdish woman, convicted of bombing government offices and a gas pipeline to Turkey and described as "enemies of God", state media reported.

The five, including the woman Shirin Alamhouli, were executed in Tehran's Evin prison, the official IRNA news agency said, quoting a statement from the capital's prosecution office.

The four others who were hanged were Farzad Kamangar, Ali Heidarian, Farhad Vakili and Mehdi Eslamian.

Kamangar, Heidarian and Vakili, along with Alamhouli were members of the Kurdish rebel group, PJAK (The Party of Free Life of Kurdistan), ISNA news agency said quoting the same statement from the prosecution's office.

Eslamian reportedly belonged to the anti-regime monarchist group, Kingdom Assembly of Iran, which aims to restore the constitutional monarchy that was abolished by the 1979 Islamic revolution.

ISNA said the five were convicted of being "moharebs" or "enemies of God" -- a crime punishable by death under Iran's sharia-based Islamic law.

They were also "convicted of carrying out terrorist acts, including bombings of government centres and public properties in several Iranian cities," the prosecutor's office said, according to IRNA.

The prosecution said that the arrests of Vakili, Heidarian and Kamangar was a clear evidence that PJAK had set up "a terrorist and a bombing group by working with people from Kurdish areas" of Iran.

"Heidarian accepted he had links with PJAK and that he was associated with Kamangar for a planned bombing in Tehran," ISNA reported, detailing what it said were his confessions upon his arrest.

"The three bombed two governors' offices, a department of the commerce ministry in Kermanshah and also blew up a gas pipeline to Turkey," it said.

Police seized explosives, bullets, rocket-propelled grenades and anti-regime leaflets from the three men.

ISNA said Alamhouli was arrested for bombing a car in a Tehran parking lot belonging to the elite Revolutionary Guards.

"In her confession, she said she was on a mission for PJAK and police found cables, remote control device and batteries in her bag," ISNA said.

The agency reported that Eslamian was involved in the deadly bombing of a a mosque in the southern city of Shiraz in April 2008 and charged with acting against national security.

New York-based Human Rights Watch has identified Kamangar as a teacher while the European Union had condemned the death sentences against him, Vakili and Heidarian.

PJAK is closely allied with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) which operates in Turkey and is listed as a "terrorist" group by Ankara and much of the international community.

The latest hangings bring to at least 61 the number of people executed in Iran so far this year, according to an AFP count based on news reports. Last year, at least 270 people were hanged.

Tehran says the death penalty is essential to maintain public security and is applied only after exhaustive judicial proceedings.
....................................................................

This is what they do to bombers in Iran

we should take notes from these people on this shit.
