Too bad the "full range of opposition forces" included Russia, Germany, and France, who were all be illegally bribed by Saddam Hussein. Yeah those sanctions were so effective!!! LOL

It's easy to sit here cheering on more invasions. You probably got a hard-on when they showed footage of the first bombs dropping. 'Shock and awe...uhhhhhhhh, sweet relief.'

I don't think that the troops serving their 2nd and 3rd tour over there with no end in sight would agree that more occupations are what we need.

We are stretched to the limit. If Iran joined the fray in Iraq or North Korea invaded the south, we would need a draft immediately. I figure you're in your teens, but hopefully you're younger than 18 or you may get a chance to show your patriotism and fervor in person!

You probably get a hard on when you see these terrorists filter in from syria. How dare you think I get off on war. About 75% of my immediate family are/have seen battle. Why would i like to see a thing like that? LOL. Ive heard you say were stretched to the limit before. please tell me when the draft will start? :mj07: next week> :mj07: my brother is serving his second tour over in the sandbox. where do you get your stats from you coward. Unlike your dumb ass, I have NOT sat back like you and not made a difference. What have you done besides drone on and on about how your Government blows and you have all the answers. In the end, your an minute wisp of smoke, barely meaning anything to anyone who's made a difference. Get off the cross, we need the wood..

I said that if Iran attacks us in Iraq or North Korea invades the south, we will need a draft. That's a fact. If we weren't stretched to the limit your brother wouldn't be serving a second tour only 2 1/2 years into the war.

People say, 'send more troops.' We don't HAVE any more to give.

As usual, have no idea what your point is.

That sounds like fun. Trying to guess where your brother is stationed and trying to guess his reasoning? If he's at any of the larger posts, and they are mostly in country, they will be going back soon.

I imagine that in your mind, blindly supporting this war is equated with supporting your brother and that's understandable. But if you think this through, and consider the (lack of) reasons that we are in some country in the ME rebuilding it, the thought of something happening to him for no good reason should be chilling.

why do you have to run your mouth off about shit that you dont know about. That was my point: How can you call troops stretched too thin if you dont even know if they are????
who do you think you are? I can say your in blind defiance of the truth but does that make is so? It is YOUR opinion that we are there for no good reason. the major problem you have is that you give your opinions and say they are facts that is your major problem. YOU are wrong.
My brother volunteered to go back because HE saw the difference he was making. YOU or ME cannot see that. how hard is that to understand? To you, who is not concerned with making a difference, only monday morning QB'ing, Iraq is some country. you said it yourself. You are so far removed from what is REALLY happening, that it makes me sad for you. I constantly tell Andy and his battle buddies not to listen to people like you.

boots on the ground vs. fingers on a keyboard and eyes on the TV.

you are pathetic

Our elite divisions have been in and out of Iraq like a merry go round. Of course we are not totally out of troops, but this cannot go on forever without a significant influx of troops. Enlistment targets are not being met and the Guard and Reserve numbers are down.

We are stretched this when:

1. Ets' are being involuntarily extended
2. Reserves are being used in bigger numbers than ever before and are being sent to Iraq for years, not months.
3. 12 month tours are being stretched to 15-18 months in many cases.
4. We can't control Iraq but we can't send another 50,000 batlle ready troops because they are not available.

So you two clowns tell me exactly how we'd be able to handle a large conflict without a draft.

Here's what Clinton thought-------

"The hard fact is that so long as Saddam remains in power, he threatens the well-being of his people, the peace of his region, the security of the world. "

Too bad you can un-say what has already been said huh? LOL

Bush invaded Iraq I believe Mason. You trying to give Clinton credit? We used how many troops so far and still don't have Bin and Saddam is still alive. We lost how many good lives because the plan sucked and seems to be still not working. We did not create a vacation spot in Iraq. If these folks wont stand up for them selfs let the place crash and burn.
