imagine the grief someone would get on here if they called mrs obama a "bitch"......

Uh huh. To think I actually cleaned up my language for the Alaskan Queen. The last thing I want to do is for some of the religious nuts in this country to stop supporting her. Her presence can only help this country advance.

Democrats blast Limbaugh for comment on Kennedy

WASHINGTON ? A Democratic official rebuked conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh on Friday for suggesting a health care proposal will be named in memory of Sen. Edward Kennedy, who is battling brain cancer. On his radio show, Limbaugh said President Barack Obama's proposed health care revisions will be championed by "the liberal lion Teddy Kennedy."

"Before it's all over, it'll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care bill," Limbaugh said.

Brian Wolff, executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, called the remark outrageous and reprehensible.

Limbaugh has been at the center of a partisan dispute since telling a conservative group last month that he hoped Obama's economic policies would fail. Democrats have accused Republicans of letting Limbaugh be their de facto leader, which GOP officials deny.

Limbaugh did not respond immediately to a request for comment that was sent to the e-mail address provided on his Web site

The Democratic Party isn't about doing what is right for the country. The Democratic Party is about doing what is right for the Democratic Party. As long as they are in power, who cares how they got there? As long as they are in power, they will look the other way when one of their own does something reprehensible. Bill Clinton was impeached for lying under oath while President of the United States. In addition, he committed adultery and misled the American people. Did the Democratic Party disown him? No - quite the opposite! Clinton is still the darling of the left - making millions off of speaking engagements and still as popular as ever. Ted Kennedy, too, has been embraced by the Democrats for years. Why? He was a known adulterer, drinker and hard partying senator for quite some time. One night years ago he got very drunk and drove off with a young woman, who eventually lost her life when Teddy drove the car off a bridge and left her to die. If that wasn't bad enough - Ted's thoughts weren't about the safety of the young woman - no - he had to look out for himself. That was his top priority and why he chose to let Mary Jo Kopechne in the water for hours after the accident - with no help coming. Ted needed the time to get the story straight to save himself - which, unfortunately, he did.

...and Ted Kennedy is honored at the Democratic National Convention! Kennedy truly does represent the values of the Democratic party of today - do everything and anything necessary to stay in power. It doesn't matter if it is wrong, immoral, or criminal. What matters is staying in power. And the Democratic Party will support its own - right or wrong.

You could not have made a more true statement. Our fate was sealed years ago. You guys can argue about party all day long but it really doesn't matter.

Dogs, do you REALLY want to set yourself up on the side of Hedge/Rush? You still have some credibility around here. I would like to see you keep it.

Funny thing--generally only things I see bout Rush is whats reported in media. Never listen to radio period.

the day of Rush's tv appearance I had no idea he was even on--was watching match play golf tourney and switched to Fox to pick up some news during commercial--and there was Rush just starting his projected 20 minute speach--

--to make long story short was 1 1/2 hours later (after he finished) before I returned to golf matches--was certainly entertainly if nothing else. :)
