Singles:

Some reall iffy matches tomorrow, but some stand out plays for me:

Cink tb McIlroy, standout player for the US side Cink should be experienced enough in match 2 to see off McIlroy who was carried to a great extent by McDowell over the first two days. The excitement of going out early and the screaming crowds will be too much distraction for Rory.

Ross Fisher must have a sore back after carrying the hapless Harrington, but should still be good enough to beat Overton, whose good form shouldn't extend into singles. But what a 2 at the 8th today..wow!

5 birdies for Jimmynez today and he should see off Watson, who is just too unpredictable and his putter is stone cold.

Also worth a look:

Betting against Harrington who has been pretty awful after hitting through the group in front on the very first hole Friday! Zach Johnson should be steady enough to take advantage, neither player long off the tee.

Session 4 Singles play (4pts):

Matt Kuchar to beat Ian Poulter +124 @ Pinnacle [tie void]
Poulter is clearly the new 'Seve' in the European team and he has been playing well, particularly today with Kaymer not recording a birdie in their fourball win over Mickelson and Fowler, but there may well be a letdown in this longest of Ryder Cup weeks. Even if not, he still faces the American team's most consistent player both before this event and during it - he and Cink are the only undefeated players on the American team (Westwood and Kaymer share the same distinction on the European team). There is certainly value in these odds for a player like Kuchar.

[unofficial system play: Harrington tb Johnson Z +150; Mickelson tb Hanson +110; Cink tb McIlroy +123; Jimenez tb Watson -121]

What if........

and the Euros win the pts race before this match needs completion.

Null?

Voided bet?

Whoever is ahead in score wins?

(1) The official result will determine your wager.

(2) After the team outcome has been decided, there is a frequent tradition (but by no means assured) in remaining matches of players making significant concessions at some point on the 18th hole to "end in a friendly draw", but they will keep playing until at least then, unless some dastardly weather or other hard to foresee circumstance intervenes . . . Whomever is ahead in remaining matches when 14.5 points as a team is attained is the one "wrong" answer, IMO  (i.e., anything is possible at that point).

Couldn't disagree more and tripled my Rory bet, after reading your post. Thanks for posting and go Europe.

Not sure I see the logic in your tripling your bet, and if you think McIlroy played a blinder first two days I dunno what channel you were watching. But good luck to you. Cink certainly off to a bad start but we'll see

Among the oddest posts I have read on the normally reasonable golf forum. Cink blew 2 putts to save your hide, though:mj07:
