Once again, on paper this looks like a complete mismatch in favor of the USA. I don't trust this USA team in this event, not one bit. There's new blood on Team USA, so that might be a good thing considering past poor performance, but it could also be a serious problem.

I like EUR +188 to win.

Anyone betting on this?

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Ryder Cup:

Europeans to Lift the Cup(+175)
- - Captain Stricker doubled down on a team of shitty putters with his captain?s picks. The Euros always impress as a team. The U.S. dominance in world ranking is matched by European dominance in experience. Some challenging weather adds to the likelihood of tight and dramatic matches. Hope I?m wrong.

Rory McIlroy(13/1)(1/4 for 1-2-3-4) Top Combined Scorer
Tony Finau(20/1)(1/4 for 1-2-3) e.w. Top American Scorer
Matthew Fitzpatrick(16/1) e.w. Top European Scorer

- - Hard for me to see Euros going well without a major contribution from McIlroy . . . Looking for longer odds rather than likely outcomes, as is my nature, leads me to play hunches on Finau and Fitzpatrick (sadly slashed price) for the way the tangibles of their games translate to the intangibles of team match play.

Friday Foursomes:

Casey/Hovland(+105) over Johnson/Morikawa
McIlroy/Poulter(+120) over Cantlay/Schauffele
Westwood/Fitzpatrick(+145) over Koepka/Berger
- - If the Europeans are going to make theses matches tight and dramatic, I believe more than ever the Europeans will need to hold their own out of the gate in their strongest format, but the lead team of Thomas and Spieth is not the team I want to take on.

As a person I really like Spieth. He must have missed 5 or 6 makeable putts today that cost them the match against Rahm and Garcia.

Who has played really well so far? I would say Morikawa has been very impressive, Xander and Cantalay have played great. On the Euro side for sure Hovland (seems like a great guy too) and of course Rahm.

Who has played bad? I would say for the americans Berger and Spieth. On the Euro side Rory and Casey have way underperformed, I think Rahm carried Sergio, Poulter was a none factor.

For Sunday I definitely will play against the cold Euros. Waiting to see the match ups.

Playing Xander, Cantalay, Dechambeau, Finau and English. (smaller plays DJ & Koepka).

Euros future right now is not very good. Rahm and Hovland have looked good but then there is nothing after that. USA has a bunch of solid young guys like Xander and Morikawa (love he switched his putting grip).
