In 2007, I wrote a really rude mean poem on here about the Nets, who at that time were my most hated team. After tonight, I am now hitting 80% of my bets on the Nets this season, so I decided to write them a new poem. Please indulge me, while I share my not so great poetry. Then, I promise to not write any more poetry on a sports forum for the next six years (I know, that is a tough proposition).
Ode to the Nets
Oh dear Nets you are so great,
I can read all your cues,
You put teams in checkmate,
And you know when to lose.
I don?t need to worry,
Your game plans are easy,
You are slow and not blurry,
You no longer make me queasy.
Oh never did I think,
You would be near the top of my list,
You no longer stink,
You no longer make me pissed!
You are dear to me,
So keep up your game,
Cause you fill me with glee,
And make me one happy dame.

I like to drink and gamble, although I'm not real good
